BIG BUMMER!!!!!!!!

OK,
SO a few weeks ago there was this add in the paper for the U.S Olympic Committee with Apolo on it. It said:
Athlete Autographs (including Vancouver Medalists), fitness challenges, live sport demos. ( which were awesome), live bands, prize giveaways, U.S Olympic shop sale, and it is FREE to the public.
So I went (w/ $) all pumped up that Apolo Ohno, Shaun White, Lindsay Vonn, and Katherine Reutter would be there. I mean It said Vancouver medalists right? Also Apolo was on the add. In the end NONE of them were there!!!! I am not mad at any of the athletes, just the organization that put this together and lied to draw a crowd when everything was free- except the store.
I got autographs from:
Hunter Kemper, and Jill Peterson:Triathlon
Carissa Gump: weights
VANCOUVER MEDALISTS:
Shannon Bahrke : Moguls
Gerald Hayden : some type of paraylmmpic skiing
It was A LOT OF FUN!!!!!! I also got some cute US Olympic pants and a US Olympic team jacket. ;D

That is a bummer, I know you were really looking forward to it. I'm glad you had a good time still, and got some cute stuff =-)

It is a bummer that the Olympians that you wanted to see weren't there, but you did have fun. Do you have an account at photobucket or imageshack? It would be easier to post photos using either of those.

To be honest, it's not the type of event for which I would expect Apolo (or any of the other heavy-hitters) to show up. The organizers probably justified using his pic by simply inviting him without a confirmation on his part. And Katherine and the other skaters are training in SLC right now.

I'm glad you had a good time, though! It sounds like it was fun.
