I'm friends with most of the skaters on FB (obsession, lol). Anyways, I won't post the direct link since it's to Jeff's FB, but today one of his friends posted something to the effect of "Tear it up on the long track..." I wonder if that person is severly confused (lol) or is he going for LT as well? I haven't heard anything. But I was HEARTBROKEN for him not making the Olympic team after all he went through (that fall with Apolo, the bs DQ in the 500m time trial, etc.). I really feel like he is our 2nd/3rd best skater on the team, along with JR. It would be really cool to see him still go to the Olympics though! Hope that its tru  Also...its interesting AAO and Jeff are no longer FB friends.....hm? |

Really? That's interesting...is there a link to a story, or do you know who said it? The friend's post was the first I heard.
I'm really interested, huge Jeff fan, I'd love to see him make the Olympic team somehow.

Not that I'm saying this isn't true (because I don't know), but I would think this could be said about practically every skater that didn't make the st team. We already know Maria made her TT for the 500m (so kudos to her). And there are TT's today... However, if he is...Good luck, Jeff!  |

....upstream....I said rumor as in "wonder if (fill in any name here) will do long track now that he/she did not get the ST Olympic lineup. Okay, so maybe speculation is the better word....sorry about that.

Ok, so Jeff apparently really IS doing LT. Good for him! There was another message on his FB from another skater (John Diemont) saying "Great LT debut!" or something to that effect.
Interesting...I REALLY hope he makes the team after being screwed out of the ST team.
Someone above mentioned Maria Garcia did well in her LT time trial....does anyone know where to get this info? Was there a competition with posted results this weekend or something? Because not just Maria, but Jeff also apparently were involved in some sort of LT thing. I've looked on USS.org, but I can't find it at all. Anyone know?

Time trials are done every so often. Maria qualified in Milwaukee, 2 weeks after ST Oly Trials. Jeff skated TT in SLC this past weekend.
