Supporting Lori's calculations, I'll be posting the worst and best possible scenarios this weekend. That way everyone can have an idea of what exactly can happen.

I think we all have a negative thought when someone we want to win does not. I am sure the skaters have the same feeling for a minute. It is just because we do care that the thought happens. It is not meant to be negative.
I was just thinking. Back when Apolo was on DWTS there was a book made up of all good wishes for him on the last show. It would be nice if we could do something like this for all the skaters before the World Cups or Olympics or both. I don't have a clue how to do these things but I know someone on here probably does. We could each send a message to the whole team or each skater separately. The more positive thoughts we could send them, the better.

I belong to another forum for Japanese gymnast Hiroyuki Tomita and for his birthday we sent him birthday wishes and reassurance after his fall in the all-around, etc. and sent them (via email, mail, etc.) to another member who was going to one of his competitions and she handed them off to him. Maybe we could do something like that? I'm sure someone knows of someone who is going to the World Cup in Marquette (Ooooh! I want to send one to Lee, also!!! He's one of my ichibans. LOL)

I know there are people on here from back when we sent that book to Apolo. I am sure some of them would know how. It is nice to let them all know we care and wish them all the best. It is also nice to let them know how much enjoyment they all give to us.

I never said "I don't have faith in the". I said "...my belief in them vieing for gold in the relay is shrinking per cup...". If I didn't have faith in them, you would know it. And just because I'm a fan of Lee's (isn't he sooooo cute!) doesn't mean anything. Even though he's my ichiban, if he wins and Apolo is in second, I still want Apolo to win and Lee to come in second (sorry, Lee. )

Wow - don't write the team off already. Have some faith -- there's a lot to be said for American Ingenuity. GO TEAM USA!!! EXACTLY, Skaterswaltz... I went through the calculations, and if my understanding is right, if we perform in World Cups 3 & 4 as we did in World Cups 1 & 2, we would still accomplish BOTH the ultimate World Cup goals for both Ladies and Men: 1) Qualifying to send a full team of 5 Ladies and 5 Men to the Olympics, and 2) Qualifying the maximum of 3 skaters per gender per individual distance... ...not bad, eh? Expanding on what I said above - the ladies cut it a bit closer than the men on the individual distances (specifically, the 500M), but even so, the ladies weren't in grave danger. Frankly, the Canadian ladies squeezed in that third person far later than we did in 2 of the ladies' distances... Anyhow, I just wanted to put the performances of the first 2 World Cups into perspective - it wasn't stellar, but in the grand scheme of things, it would have been more than enough to Git-'er-Done for Vancouver, so we have much to be proud of... (Please remember as you're reading this, that I'm interpreting the results from WC's 1 & 2 as if they were the results for the all-important WC's 3 & 4...)

I think April made up the book back then. We need someone that knows how to do that. The skaters have all given so much enjoyment to all of us. For me it is the most exciting sport i ever watched. Plus, with the skaters you don't see or hear about a swinging door in and out of rehab like with most of the pro sports.

YES, that was it BB. Maybe someone on here would have a better idea of something along that line. After 4 LONG HARD years of working for this it would be nice if ALL of them knew how much people are with them and how much they gave to us along the way.

I'd like to do something for them. I am just not familiar with any thing like this. All i do on the computer is music...lol. That i understand. They are all winners and it would be nice to let them know how much they all mean to us.
