And after the seeing him at the World Championships I have a little crush on Kwak. He's a real cutie and can skate like a crazy thing! I have a picture of him that didn't turn out very well, but I'll post it anyway. I'm posting a few pics at a time on the WC Vienna thread. I'll make sure that pic gets there soon.

Wags, He became my favorite Korean after I saw him skate in WC 6 in SLC in Feb 2008. One thing that struck me was his demeanor. He always applauded for every skater in every heat he was in as they were announced. Always congratulated the winners. Just seemed like a very, very nice guy.....and a hell of a skater.

2nd for Katherine! Our ladies are currently tied for 3rd. They'd better "bring it" for the relay!

A 2nd for Katherine. Yeaaaa! But I wonder what happened to Kimberly. Maybe looking for a DQ??
Does anyone know if they give an extra 5 points for the "midway" lap? If so, did katherine get them? I can never remember if it's lap 19 or 20.

OMG! What was that! Another SLC '02 where everyone crashed at the end and only those left alive crossed the finish line?

Olivier Jean stepped on a block and fell into the boards, hit his shoulder, had medical attention, then he got up and finished the race.
