I'm with you gasp. I think we need to start making stuff up and starting some rumors and get this board fired up somehow....heee heeee!
Well, in about two months it should do it on it's own.
And I miss people like number1. Where did everybody go?

hey gasp, I know we're ready for short track, but summers here are short enough as it is! Let's not speedy it up just yet, OK? LOL...(it'll be snowing here soon enough....) Skaterswaltz, as for heating things up - or 'er - 'Spicing Things Up" as the case may be ...'um, you have NO idea! I had not ONE, but TWO, - count 'em - TWO - Apolo google alerts in my e-mail today, and they BOTH turned out to be full on porn sites! . . . . YIKES!!!! (...and Apolo wasn't even in them....)

Where did everybody go? I dunno.
Maybe we're saving all of our energy too, so we will peak at the right time--like good little fans should do!

Apolo wasn't in them--bummer! ...well, I could be wrong...*grin*. The camera shots weren't exactly focused on their faces....if you get my drift...

The bottom line here is that GA is an Apolo fansite. It was never predominately a short track board. OZ was the "short track board" and because of that, Lindsey created GA as an outlet for Apolo fans who wanted to talk more about him and not just about short track. Obviously, short track talk comes with the territory here and that’s fine…but so do a lot of other discussions about Apolo…and as long as it doesn’t cross the line, those discussions and/or pictures will not be deleted. It is really unfair to beg fans not post on certain threads, regardless of the reasons. This forum is for all the members and whether they are just short track fans or just Apolo fans or both, is irrelevant. If posters are being asked not post on certain threads, for whatever reason, then they need to bring that to my attention privately. I have no problem advertising the Rocker Fund here, and I know Lindsey doesn’t either. Everyone is free to talk about all aspects of short track here. But at the end of the day, the Apolo fans are free to discuss all aspects of Apolo here as well… and they should never be made to feel that they can’t. ^This! Well, you asked for honesty... I can't for the life of me understand why someone who doesn't "own" the site and isn't a mod has been allowed to make so many decisions about how the board is run and what direction it should take. I haven't posted here in a good six months, which is why I didn't see this sooner. I pretty much quit coming after a new poster appeared to be "taking over." I do come to follow ST, but I also enjoyed all the other discussions that went on, whether it was about Apolo's eyes, or his butt, or his designer shoes. I'll tell you honestly, I started staying away when the member I referenced in the first two paragraphs took every opportunity to "bash" the folks who post on some of the other fansites. Did it again on this very thread. There was no concern that some of them may have been posting here. Personally, I think Lindsey and Christy have done a great job with the board. If they're happy with the way things are, that's pretty much all that matters. JMO, YMMV

Very, very late to the party - par for the course for a lurker like me... Well, y'all, (my sister now lives in Houston, so even though I'm from NY and now live in NE OH, it has become part of my speech. Good words know no geographic boundries... ) I'm way more an Apolo's girl than a ST fan - and I'm one of those who came aboard after (during? don't remember now) DWTS because I wanted to be among others who would understand my near obsession. To be honest, I haven't cared one way or the other about the expansion of ST discussions. Wait - I take that back. Since this is the only site I go to to find out what is happening during competions, I am grateful beyond measure that the dedicated ones post real-time results for folks like me. So the threads about the competitions have been something of a lifeline for me and my Apolo habit. And I also am grateful beyond measure for all the articles, clips and pictures posted here. I have a Google alert set for Apolo, but I still find more here than in my mailbox. (And I get more virus laden connections than real stories these days myself. Haven't been hit by the porn sites yet... ) So long after the discussion has ended, my have been tossed in the kitty. I value this site as one of my favorite favorites, even if I just lurk and rarely open my virtual mouth... THANK YOU for providing a home for wayward Apolo fangirls

missed you too skaterswaltz ^^
jmo, i think the 'General Board' is the appropriate place to post anything/everything to do with ST. that's what apolo is all about (right now) ST.
maybe this topic can be revived after vancouver 2010, or when apolo officially retires from competing ( ).
