JR has a cut five inches long and three inches deep. He currently in surgery as we speak.
j.r. is out of surgery. it was muscle tissue not artery

maria is okay cat scan came back negative half a minute ago from web He also cut his artery too.

I agree with everything that you said! Also am a huge fan of Jeff too, after seeing him really stayed strong at Nationals with his back problems.

USS President Brad Goskowicz made the following statement to the press: "J.R. Celski fell tonight during the Men's 500m Semi-final and was injured when his blade cut into his leg. USS Executive Director Bob Crowley accompanied J.R. and his family to the hospital. J.R. has been taken into surgery to determine the extent of the injury and to assess the situation. We will update you on his status as we knowmore details. Maria Garcia was injured this evening and was taken to the hospital. She is undergoing observation and will be evaluated."

Wasn't an artery?! It had to be an artery; based on that squirting blood, I'd say he cut his popliteal or SI articular artery...thanks to my handy-dandy Gray's Anatomy encyclopaedia. Based on the location of the cut, I wouldn't say it was his femoral artery because, one, that would be a major cut, and, two, that's a pretty deep, central artery. Muscles don't hemorrhage like that. Gray's Anatomy Copyright 1977, pg. 568, fig. 316:Note: the branch labeled "LS genicular" is actually the SI articular. I hope he gets better. And I hope he doesn't have a broken femur because, if he does, he won't be in Vancouver.

They got to surgery rather quickly, so that's good, yes? If it is an artery? The prognosis should be good then. That's what I'm going to believe in anyway...

The sooner the better. Apparently not a break, that is good. Will need to rehab the muscle injury, thankfully only Sept.
