wow...what a grueling selection process for the top 36. 
lots of great vocals this season that's for sure!
tatiana...good voice but her screeching is unbearable.
my faves: adam and anoop for sure...then there's around 10 others i really like too.
can't wait for this season to unfold!  yeah, but we're gonna be hitting that mute button A LOT this season for Tatiana - 'except' when she's singing!  |

Ick. The screeching has gotten old. I'm anxious to see whether the "Norman Gentle" character re-emerges, to be honest. although Nick seems to be, i guess, coming into his own, or something like that. Right now, though, I'm rooting for Danny (think that's his name, fingers crossed!) The man has some pipes!  |

Sweet! Tonight's the first live show! Finally, hopefully the focus will shift more to singing and AWAY from the drama (don't even get me started on "The Bachelor"...oi freaking vey!)

ricky, alexis, anoop (wrong song for me), tatiana (great vocals but i'm really afraid of her) and danny
watch the guys get contact lenses, teeth whitened, cool hair cuts/color...

Anoop reminded me a little bit of Taylor Hicks last night, don't really know why. Also...man, was it just me, or did Stevie have a MAJOR Miley Cyrus vibe? I dunno, as soon as Danny started singing, my first thought was, "Game Over " (game over as in "winner", not "go home") |

It's a blur to me. Stevie was in the black leggings w/the black & white top, right? She said the pants were a shout out to Randy from his old school days. But yeah, very Miley Cyrus. Let's hope she has better manners. I don't really want to go "there" but I saw a blip somewhere of MC doing some kind of country songs with requisite line dancing. Another Achy Breaky wonder in the making? Tell me NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooo

The other night a random thought popped into my mind, i -think- it was an old campaign slogan (remembered from my days in Poli Sci class) or something like that, but it definitely applied to Simon's critiques.

I agreed with the judges EXCEPT for Anup. Sadly the wrong song did him in but I would have liked to see his progress. Actually, I think the country singer with the dimples would have been a better choice than the one they chose. There are TONS of people from India in my area because of Microsoft and the tech industry. Tatiana has emotional issues. I think there is some great talent this year. It took me a long time to get over Michael Johns not winning last year, but I didn't think he was as appealing in his performance with the Irish chick.
