I just heard that JR got DQ'd??? I came right over here because I knew you would confirm it---my computer refuses to play with the flashing numbers---sniff--I guess it is true then?

mtnme--I love your new emoties Yeah, in between races (when you all were doing something constructive with your lives...LOL) I went searching for some new ones.... The emoties that come with the site are getting tired...and most of 'em are missing anyway... But thanks for the kudos....

3 Korean Ladies take the 1500m super final....(real surprise there, huh?) JR's up against 3 Koreans, a Canadian and a Hungarian (wha?) The boy's got his work cut out for him, for sure.

Huh? Somethin's screwy - it looked like JR must have fallen, but the live results show him finishing 2nd(?)

Okay, J.R. got second...good...and I see that the skater who was ahead of him in the overall standings (Korea's You Dong-Kun) got third (...though the standings may not have been updated to reflect the 1000m final.) I'm not sure where this leaves J.R. points-wise.
ETA: It looks like he gets bronze overall? Congratulations, J.R.! ;D

Holy Guacamole!!!! Do my eyes deceive me??? JR lookes like he slipped or fell with lap times of 25 and nearly 24....and he STILL managed to come in second??? It's taking awhile for the official results to come up...which is never a good sign...oh they're up! A DQ for a Korean...and JR DOES come in second! Whoa! 1 AM impressed! EDIT: OK, I went back and looked at the lap times, and whoever was in charge of JR's numbers was obviously sleeping on the job. There's no way he could have skated those times and came in second. So much for accuracy...LOL They have him at lap 13 at 3:02.858 and they have his finish time at 2:16.780 I'd say someone at the scoreboard isn't earning their pay today! LOL

Whoa. Unofficially, Korea comes in first for the ladies relay, but Italy trounces both China and Canada for Silver. It's taking FOREVER for the official results...gee, no 'drama' there, huh?
And there it is! Italy takes first after Korea gets DQ'd!
1 3 ITALY ITA 4:21.346 2 4 CHINA CHN 4:33.166 3 2 CANADA CAN 4:39.394 DQ 1 KOREA KOR DQ
Never a dull moment, huh?
