Uck, my stomach is just plain awful. It turns against me every chance it gets. I go next week for an upper G I then the week after for an ultrasound. I don't know what to take to settle it, or what to eat, I've been snacking on crackers and chicken. Anyone have any advice? This has been going on for about two months. It's on and off again. I know some of it's stress. I'm moving to my own apartment next week. Of course I'm excited, but now I got to stress about that...grr! Thanks everyone, for putting up with me. If you don't hear from me, don't worry. It may take a little while to get a phone/net in my own place. Want to get everything set up and then get that started. I hope I'm not annoying you with my questions here.

Sorry you're feeling bad tab. Don't know much about internal medicine but....I've had the same trouble. I'm sure stress has a lot to do with this especially because of your youth. (mine is just plain old age belly) But I know you can develop food allergies that can cause you all kinds of trouble without you even suspecting the culprit. Maybe you could try changing up what you're eating for a day or two and see if that might help a bit. Also...have they checked your gall bladder?
Luck!

They are going to check my gall bladder next Monday. They want to do the upper G I first. I thought it may be allergies too. Certain things just don't agree with me, it stays, and I can't figure out what it is. I know that I can't have fish. It's just frustrating because I'm feeling kind of weak. Even juice didn't help. Sorry to complain, but I am trying to find out what to eat. Thanks Wags!

I had some plain toast. So far, no issues. Regular tea doesn't sit well with me, but I'm sure tamer tea might. I'm drinking fluids, need more water, I'm bad at that. I just want these test done and over with. I start moving some things Tuesday and Wednesday. Then some more over the weekend. Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Tab. Peppermint settles the stomach too, and maybe that will help. Moving is always stressful, but hopefully this will be a good thing for you in the long run. Chin up girl, and keep us posted on your test results. Hopefully it's just stress and you'll be just fine.

I hope they leave my laptop here so I can keep in touch. I should be settle with in the next few days. I'm only a little nervous. Must remember no drink tonight! Thanks for the tips everyone.

I arrived early, and the doctor was late. Tsk tsk. They gave me something that fizzled, had me drink it, and said 'don't burp' uh, oops, and then drink that thick chalky stuff. No taste, just thick. Then the table went from up right to flat. My stomach stayed strong, then I had to drink a combination of the chalky stuff and water. It was luke warm and yucky! I seen my stomach on the screen. They had some x-rays done. I don't know when they will be read, but I hope it will be soon. Then Monday I go for my ultra sound.

It might be gastroenteritis...I had that once...couldn't hold anything down for weeks on end. My stomach even objected to water, and I was at my wit's end. I was told that an illness (flu, if I'm remembering correctly) had destroyed the lining to my stomach. Here's the diet I was put on: No milk products, and nothing containing milk products whatsoever. Apparently milk is one of the most caustic/irritating things that you can put in your stomach. You would be surprised how many things contain milk -- even bread! (I ate bagels with jelly and no butter for the duration.) Also, no highly acidic foods such as orange juice. The diet worked like a charm. I started feeling better almost immediately. Might be worth a try. I lost a lot of weight before I started my recovery diet, to the point that my family and friends were extremely concerned about me. I was stick thin. I had fun putting it back on though -- lots of dinner invitations and desserts! I hope that you feel better soon, Tabs.

My tests are done. Hard telling when my results will be back. For now it's just a wait and see thing. I've been eating and kept things down so far. Still kind of weak though. I'm all ready in my new place, and the stress is better. I've been relaxing for the most part.
