I've done this before, and I STILL am running around with my head cut off and my hands in the air! LOL I finally had to 'cry uncle' and move to a bigger suitcase. Packing for two weeks, with completely different weather conditions. Vancouver is supposed to be cold and rainy, and yet, I'm up here in the high sierras, running around in shorts and a T-shirt!  (...which means I'll die in SLC with all the warm weather duds...)I've got a boatload of TRF patches, 12 Baver's Badasse's pins (get 'em while they last!) my media quide, my Vancouver guide....and where was I to put my clothes?  Number1, just don't drool on your nice blue coat, ....as for keeping your wits about you if you meet Apolo...fugedaboudit. You will succumb to the "OFF" like everyone else- (and so will your camera!)  I did contact Lexi, as she has been like a missing puzzle piece to our posse. She almost could have made it too. There is a work conference in SLC this weekend...AND THEY SENT SOMEONE ELSE! (OH! The Irony!, the trajedy, the abject unfairness of it all!) She even had to make their travel arrangements! (that's gotta rub!) Maybe she can sneak herself into one of their suitcases! |

Wildfire, here's the lil' guy you were asking about. Ruff posted it in anticipation of the World Championships in March, and I agree, it was appropriate! (Thanks, Ruffy, wherever you are!) I'M SO EXCITED! AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!  We should name this kid, don't cha think??? I arrived in SLC yesterday afternoon, and my brother and I have been driving around in the mountains - Big Cottonwood Canyon, the Alpine Loop, Cascade Springs. The weather has been GLORIOUS, and it's expected to get even warmer this weekend! EDIT: As I was flying in, I saw Mecca the Oval and took a picture...  |

Well Posse, bag is packed, boarding pass printed and set to wing out of NYC tomorrow at 5. Lily already on the scene and scoping things out. Glad to hear weather lookin good (isn't it always great in SLC?) Looking forward to reuniting the gang and meeting new fans (fanatics.) yee ha...

btw...i won't be taking any pictures or videos (i suck at it), but i'll have my trusty binocs for all those up close

My good friend told me last night (thank you!!! ) that we have Universal Sports on our cable system now -- I didn't even know! So I'll be able to watch some of the WC1 live this weekend! Woo Hoooooo! I think this has been posted before, but love that Mr. Ohno is on the main page! www.universalsports.com/mediaPlayer/media.dbml?CLIP_ID=44448&_MODE_=COUNTDOWN&db_oem_id=23000I love how they even have a countdown clock to the events. I had no idea either until my friend told me about it. And then I sat there last night and watched a bicycle race through the German countryside on that channel -- very nice.
