I may have missed something from not checking out the board very much for the last couple of days--or maybe everybody's just "on the sauce now" and I should be, too, so I can make heads or tails out of this thread--but it's got me confused.

The following posts were made before guest showed up:

"you are correct cal...if guest says it, it must be true.."

"I admit thats my fault.....guest just brings out the best in me..."

Guest responded, which led to the following:

"What the f**k is going on here? Guest, sweetheart, you're on the wrong thread. This is
about whether or not we should have an adult's only thread for all of us pervs. That's all."

"Guest, please don't turn this into another struggle over your identity and truthfulness.....
I value your contributions, but please not now!"

I admit I haven't gone back and caught up on all of the other threads yet, so maybe I'm out of the loop, but it looks to me like commenting on other posters is okay, but responding to those comments is not.

Having your integrity questioned is okay, defending your integrity means you are starting an argument.

And if someone else goes off topic and talks about you, if you respond you are the one who has gone off topic.

I'm not trying to start a fight, either. But I really don't get this. It's like some sort of strange, parallel universe.

I always thought the one who goes first is the one who is starting something.

But if there is a different set of rules, I want to know, because I can certainly play by them, and I spent my time away from the board sharpening my knives.

Billiey, I don't know how long you've lurked but Guest has a history. In her very first post she called us all "losers" or something similar which led to a pretty nasty fight in an (surprise, surprise) Allison thread. That thread was closed. It got pretty hairy and Guest became infamous.

Anywho, I don't really know you as a poster and I certainly understand your confusion if you aren't aware of this but this explains my own and possibly others' negative perception of Guest. She's never been a joiner, she's always been a somewhat condescending know-it-all and has never acted like she likes us or the board.

And that's why she gets called out.

Guest is also fully aware of her rep on the board so by posting she realizes that people will likely respond negatively.

It's not like she's caught unawares in a hailstorm or anything. Brings it on herself, if you ask me.

When I say "hate mail" baby, I mean "negative postings" regarding my reaction, it's just my way of saying. "Leave me alone, you can't change my mind!" It's the only way I know how to deal with the aggressive behavior from "some" people on the forum. They're usually not signed up.

Eveytime I'm away from the computer for more than 1 day it seems this site goes haywire. I was glad to see that after reading through all the posts the "members" had worked out their problems with one another and are discussing ways to improve the site and address everyone's issues.

Ruff, I'm glad you brought up the issue of an over 18 spot on this board again. We had discussed it before in another thread and I think it would resolve alot of the issues we have now. However, I don't think it should be password protected. It is up to each individual to decide what content they can handle.

In case you still don't know where I stand on the issue LINDSEY WE NEED A +18 FORUM!!!

Bella, you are in an unenviable position. It is nearly impossible to post as a regular member when you have to act as a mod. Those of us who have been mods at other boards know that you are in a no win position. You have been doing an excellent job given the constraints you are under.

As for our guests weighing in on this thread; we have all been here before. We value your opinions "if" you would speak to the issue at hand. However you are once again seeking to cause trouble without speaking to the issue and are attacking members instead of adding welcomed thoughts and perspectives that can be discussed in an adult manner. Attacking the members is not acceptable.

Hey Guest, it's all cool. Billiey's right, we were all sauced up last night. I get mouthy.
