Back to ST- hopefully we can get some 'covert' pics and videos! LOL It might just be of the skaters tie-ing their laces, but we'll do our best!   heck, all the elite and juniors have signed up except the injured and the man  ...this meet should be awesome!

um, now that i think about it - not that this really pertains to am cup 1, but i was wondering why she wasn't on the list cause i haven't heard anything about her since last season...

Last I heard she was dealing with a lot of injuries last year. But you're right, she has been off the 'radar' for awhile now, so I didn't even notice she was missing from the roster.  Although I'll have to double check. Isn't 'Halie' a nickname? |

Although I'll have to double check. Isn't 'Halie' a nickname? LOL. Yeah, I think it's because my mind is still so used to seeing 'Allison Baver' and 'Hyo-Jung Kim' side by side. But, yeah...'Halie' is her nickname. |

But it will cut into my Zamboni-watching time... Hey, once you've seen one Zamboni, you've seen 'em all.... But onto some more fun things to do. According to my research, the leaves have already started turning in Minnesota the first week of Sept. (man, nothing has even THOUGHT about turning yet here...which is unusual. Long Indian Summer me thinks -yaaa!) So we may get lucky and still see some. Weather is going to be in the mid 60's to 70's, brisk fall weather and the extended forcast calls for rain on Sunday and Monday (....but really, how accurate are they this far in advance?) It's a good thing Monday Night Football doesn't take that stance... EDIT: So if USS isn't going to broadcast it, are they suggesting THE FANS should pay them for posting our blurry, dark and out of focus videos and pics for the event? LOL (mind you, they're not even of good enough quality to be posted on YouTube!) Now how much do they anticipate that anything out of my little 'point and shoot' would to be worth? ....cause I don't think my 'action shots' are even worth a $1.98  "... HONEST!!!, that blurry red smudge on the bottom right corner is Apolo... well, ummm, more accurately, it's Apolo's skate.... that and a WHOLE lotta white. Oh! that's ice, ... ya mean you can't tell?..."  |

BUT - I'm hatching a plan... Ok all you junkies-who-like-me-can't-go-this-weekend! Listen up! Lori (GND) has been scheming, as she said, and she has hatched a plan which will involve her calling me throughout the meet with updates, and I'll be posting here. WHen its Zamboni-time she'll give me a buzz and I will take her notes and turn them into the ONLY (Yes, USS, you heard it right), the ONLY mechanism for the fanbase to get any sort of semi-live results. So we can expect race results, along with other highlights, and I'll play the hippy-dippy fanzone recorder. I haven't been able to find any schedule yet, either on USS or the Am Cup1 website, so one of the first things is to try to figure out who's racing when and in what races. So gather round the screen, 'cause we've got some action to read! YEAH LORI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
