POSTING HERE AND ON THE VANCOUVER THREAD: I know that the link to this poll was posted on the Vancouver thread by Toehold, but we need to continue to let NBC know that we want to see LOTS OF SHORT TRACK COVERAGE at the Vancouver Olympics! We once had ST at #1, but now Skeleton (WTH?), Snowboarding and Figure Skating (okay, I can understand those) have overtaken it... but we're at a paltry 4% of the vote... I don't know how much stock NBC takes in this, but (on principle) we've gotta freakin' WIN this thang... GA'ers, OZ'ers, AJ.com'mers, Dry Ice'rs... UNITE! I am not sure how they are calculating the votes because I keep voting and I make my sons and their friends vote ALOT..

I've been following and voting in this poll since the end of the Beijing Olympics.
Speedskating had been steadily rising and was the frontrunner for at least a week.
Monday evening it was still on top at 46% with Figureskating at 25%. Everything else was at or below 10%. Then 2 hours later, Figureskating jumped by about 20%. By the next morning, Snowboarding was in front at 80%!! And by that evening, Skeleton was in first place.
So either someone figured out how to mess around with the poll results, or the World Skeleton Federation (if there is such an animal) has one heck of a lobby at work.

i must agree with ya nell...i've been periodically voting and noticed the same pattern. heck, skelton was at 0% this past weekend! personally i think the fix is in, cuz i know there's loads of apolo/st fans from everywhere voting like crazy.
maybe we should contact nbcolympics.com to voice our concerns.
