Man, it's been crazy the past week when it comes to my soon to be two year old cat, Bella. I took her in to get spayed last Friday. I'm paranoid when it comes to taking my pets to the vet. I have a fear of hearing this... 'we've run into complications' or 'we found something' and ending in 'we thought it best if we...' So my sister took her up there in the morning for me. (so not a morning person) Bella being Bella gave the lady a growl while she removed her from the cage. Or so my sis says. Anyway, I head there to get her. And get this ? 'does this cat know you well...' uh, yeah, she is my cat. I understand, her being loopy and all. I get her, and put her in the cage and bring her home.
Ah, the fun begins. I have two rooms upstairs. And I take her in one, there's a door. I try to let her out of the cage to see if she'll lay there and be a good cat. Nope. She's up trying to get through the door. *sigh* So I get a bigger cage and place her in that until morning. She was out of it for a while. I let her out every so often so she can do her business. Next day she's eating and all that good stuff. Her cut is pretty big. Still can't get over it.
The darn cat somehow gets the top stitch/stuture undone. By licking or the like. (I took in a stray, Rascal, he's living up to his name) and she's grooming him, I get worried. Sure enough, I noticed it. Not a pretty sight. Still not so bad until the other day. I won't go into the details. My cousin took her to the vet for me, he cleaned it up, gave her a shot, tried to seal it up with glue. That lasted about an hour, I'm guessing cause I had to leave...it came undone. Curse it. Now I'm worried about it coming apart even more, or becoming infected. So now I have to watch over her like a hawk, I may have to take her again if it gets worse and hope that it stays this time. Stubborn cat won't 'listen' to me.
Well, that was a lot of info, wasn't it. Can't help it, she's like a kid to me. And kids like to get into trouble. A lot of trouble...
Bella before the surgery.
