Just had to put it out there that my home province, Newfoundland and Labrador, will be featured in the 2010 olympics. Most people have absolutely no idea where or what Newfoundland is, even though the capital, St. John's is the oldest city in North America. This is a big deal for us to have a global audience while we showcase our culture. They're going to have a Newfoundland and Labrador Day during the games!!

Cool for you newbie! I have to admit that I'm guilty as charged. The only thing I know about Newfoundland is they sure are cute puppies! Ditto for Labrador.

Haha, I miss that accent. I've been away for so long that mine is diluted.
Alot of people think Newfoundland is very cold, but Ontario actually has colder winters. The Prairies are even worse because of all the flatness. Vancouver has the best winters in terms of temperature and less snow. I hope they have enough snow for the skiers during the olympics!!
