Hmm, I did see in an ad for a website, there was a pic of Apolo. That's about it. I've watched the games like crazy too. I stayed up to watch baseball and basketball. Well worth it. I forgot to say what I thought of the track and field part, with the men's and women's relay. Sonja was amazing sneaking up on the Russian to take gold. And the men's side of things, they blew everyone away. Holy cow, no one else stood a chace. I love the dresses the women wore while passing out medals/flowers. The teal colored ones. Those were pretty. The closing ceremonies (excuse my spelling) was amazing. Since I missed the opening, I'm glad I caught the closing. I had to laugh when I seen Jackie Chan. That was cool. And the woman who sang a duet with a guy (sounding somewhat like an opera type song) looked like a dark haired Cinderella, except for the red belt thing she wore. Okay, I'm done now. It just wowed me is all. I'm gonna miss it now that it's over. China did an amazing job with it all. ;D

I couldn't take many more of these late nights, but I just couldn't tear myself away. And now we get to stay up late AGAIN as the athletes make the rounds of Leno & Conan! LOL But still, I can't wait!!!!! The US gymnastics team is coming to Reno in two weeks, I may have to go check that out.

I just celebrated my *Diamond Jubilee* b-day last month. I loved that London segment, having stood at that very spot a couple of times! God only knows whether I'm able to set foot in the UK again, 4-years hence. I'm just concentrating on staying healthy enough to get to the Winter Olympics! Jimmy Page still plays a mean guitar, but he's showing his age too, so I don't feel too bad... LOL..

I was thinking the same thing Lily, about Jimmy Page, he's still amazing at playing though. Leona is beautiful. There was a slight echo, and it took away from her perfomance a bit, as far as the singing went. I'd be scared as hell standing on that platform thing, and in heels. I liked it when the bus opened up. Didn't see that coming. Can you imagine just how much preparing went into those ceremonies. All those people, in harmony. Staying up wasn't a problem, getting up was. Lily, you are amazing. I'd love to travle the way you do. At any point in my life. You and my mom are around the same age.

I didn't like the closing ceremonies as much as I did the opening ceremonies, but they were still great. I am sleep deprived due to the games because I tried to watch as many sports as possible.
The sharp shooter that won the gold for the USA has my respect. It must have been emotional to hear the National Anthem for him since he is an Iraqi War Veteran.

Darra Torres is going to be on Leno tonight, ;D
for us West Coasters (and possibly Mountain time) that haven't missed it already.
