Number1, thanks for adding that drawing of David Cook. That woman is so talented. Aofreak, thanks for all the Archie pics. He is so darn cute! And him and David Cook are so great together. Jenna, thanks for all your pics. I really like all the sports pics. I'm not a big sports fan but I like seeing who everyone's faves are. And I'm planning on watching the beginning of the Lakers game tomorrow just to hear David Cook sing the national anthem. I love your little AI birthday cartoon and his thank you message to his fans. btw, today is Johnny Depp's b-day, but you probably already knew that, right? Apolosangel, I've watched a couple Small Town Sleeper videos and they are great. I really love their song I Have Been Waiting. Lisam, I know you'll have a great time at the AI concert. If you get to meet Michael, say hi for me okay?

Butterfly...I love all their songs...they are just so amazing! I just ordered their pre-release cd from their website! I had bought it on Itunes, but only one song would download...don't know why. Oh well...I have one song, and I love it. The song I got was The Part That Walks Away. Two of my other faves of theirs (its so hard to choose just a few! I love everything they do!) is Candy and Backseat. They do an amazing cover of "She's Got The Look"...I swear everything they do is amazing! I can't wait to go see them! Just a couple of weeks and I get to see them and go hang out with them! I love how they are such goofballs! Makes me love them even more!

Thanks Apolosangel & AOfreak for addressing my post about his thank you. I felt it was kinda chessy for me to post it but he's what I'm crazy nutz over.. Butterfly, yep, I knew it was JD's birthday. I get confused with him and AI's birthday. And JD just turned 45 today (I had to double check on the math...) And I still think he's attractive. And I can't wait for DC wednesday either!!!! When is he proforming? Do you know what time the game starts Number1?

DAVID COOK nabbed 55 million votes to win "American Idol" last month, and now he's opening up to Rolling Stone magazine about how he ended up on the show in the first place.
Cook, who didn't mean to audition for "Idol," only going to the audition in Omaha, NE, as moral support for his brother, ANDREW, tells the rock and roll mag that success didn't come to him overnight.
"The overnight thing is nice and romantic," Cook says in an interview during his first trip to New York City, continuing, "But in this particular instance, it's not the case."
Cook explains that he had musical aspirations from a young age -- he first sang in public in second grade, and he played first the violin, and next, the guitar, during his childhood. He also participated in talent competitions, and went on to form his first band at age 15. It was only after years of being in bands and doing solo projects that he took the "Idol" stage.
Since winning "Idol," Cook has signed a record deal with 19 Recordings/RCA and has come close to breaking records -- 11 of his songs registered on Billboard's Hot 100 shortly after he triumphed on "Idol," according to Rolling Stone, which reported that the only musical act to best that record was the BEATLES in 1964.
And Cook is confident in his own style. While he admires fellow "Idol" rockers BO BICE and CHRIS DAUGHTRY, he tells Rolling Stone: "I don't want to make a Chris Daughtry record, I want to make a David Cook record. I feel like I know who I am."
Rolling Stone's profile on David Cook will appear in the June 26, 2008, issue.
