I'd think I'd be bummed out, not mad. I'm more of a talker but sometimes I like company. I honestly don't know what to tell you. Sometimes things may seem one way, when it's actually the opposite.
I used to be awful driving at night too. But since I know these roads so well, and drive them quite often, I've gotten better. One's eyesight is tested in the dark.
Just try talking to her, phone, text, email. Hopefully she'll understand.
