OK guys. It's kind of slow around here so I thought I might liven things up a bit and insert an opinion I've had for awhile now. This should get the juices (or my blood) flowing.
It seems to me that Apolo has opted to maintain a shorter hairstyle. There could be many reasons for this including he may want to project a more mature image. I've noticed the same in his dress. He seems to dress more as a business man than your average guy. If this is the direction he's going fashion wise, (don't hate me now) I think the soul patch needs to go.
I'm not opposed to facial hair. I happen to like it. My husband has always had some sort of beard or mustache. Maybe Apolo could try something different. I personally could see him looking quite rakish in a nice "fu man chu". With his Japanese heritage I'm not sure how successfully he can grow facial hair. But I would like to see a change.
If I were talented enough I would like to make a virtual Apolo doll that we could try different hairstyles and beards and mustaches on. That would be fun!
*note* I still love the sideburns. They can stay.
OK.....let the verbal beatings begin!

eh, I sorta like his mature side so I go with you on taking the soul patch off. Just because of that reason. Don't hate me... And yea, an Apolo doll would be nice. A skating one and a dancing one. This is just my opinion, but I don't like sideburns. It makes it look eighties. I'm trying to be more open on this topic. If I hurt anybody please tell me.

I say let the hair grow out a little bit and ditch the soul patch. I think he needs a new hair cutter.

Wags, you read my mind about the soul patch. It doesn't fit that much anymore with his new style. I love the stache that he lets grow out once and a while. I like sideburns on guys. Always kinda did. Don't know why though. Don't worry Jenna, we all have our own tastes. Even when it comes to a guy's facial hair. I don't mind his shorter hair, but not the style. It's not right on him. Speaking of hair, I love it when guys let it grow to the collar of their shirt, and it does this 'flip'.

Just let it grow. No more cutting!! ......

i too think he is opting for a more 'mature' look these days (which he should)...i'm curious as how he'd look w/o his soul patch too.
personally, i like his hair a bit longer without too much hair products in it...but i think he is sooo use to having his hair away from his face (bandana) that he'll keep his hair back with products

He would look fine without the soul patch. He has fabulous hair, he just needs a new style without so much product. Longer is good, maybe we should start posting photos of great mens hairstyles that we think would look good on Apolo. I miss the occasional bandana, but would not miss the soul patch. Besides, it isn't the same color as his hair!

Nope... I the soulpatch too . Its one of the main things that people identify him with. to me, he also seems like the only type of "business man" guy that could actually make the soulpatch work, in that profession. Anybody else, and it would look weird. btw aao2010... love the siggie!

No, Aao2010, you are not alone. I also like the soul patch. I also like the shorter hair but without so much product. Moustache would be good too.

I think he would look good with out the soul patch if he ever decided to shave it off. I would miss it but I'd still love him the same. He probably is getting a little too old to have one especially with his style changing. Short or long hair, doesn't matter to me but it looks like he's going to keep it short.
