If he does need surgery, may he recover fully and fast. Take it easy Manu.

Back to b-ball for a sec, Manu Ginobli may have to have surgery on his ankle. This is one tough cookie because he played throughout the playoffs with this pain, and never complained about it. Coach Pop doesn't want him to participate in the Olympics and play for Argentina because he is concerned about the ankle. Surgery is the last option, but if Manu plays in the Olympics then his only choice will be surgery. i read this too mellie... jmo, but this is a touchy subject because i think pro players take a huge risk when they participate in the olympics (kobe included)...and as the owner of these franchise players, where do you draw the line for risk-taking? yet, as a player, it is an honor to represent your country on the global stage.
btw...kobe will be going for his 'pinky' surgery after the olympics .

Manu played on that global stage and helped Aregentina win the gold medal back in the 2004 games, so IMO I think he needs to think about his long term career instead of trying to help Argentina defend the gold medal.

awh, Mellie, I'm sorry about Manu. He is a tough cookie. I hope he gets his surgery soon so he can recover nicely! btw, Number1! I hope Kobe recovers smoothly. GO USA! I think AI might get his ring finger operated on after his Crossover Foundation in July!!

The Blues just traded away my favorite all time player, Jamal Mayers. He's been with the team since he was drafted in 93, played a few games in 96, and came up for good in 98. I remember his first goal too. It was against Florida on the road. Poor Jammers. At least they could of traded him to a good team. He went from a team who is rebuilding to a team who is stuck...I really wanted him to win the cup...He's still wearing a blue, but now a leaf, no longer a note. Sorry, but this stings, and came out of nowhere. Poor guy.

i'm worried that another team will offer sasha (now a restricted free agent and kobe's lil' bro) more than what the lakers are willing to match . kobe would love nothing more than for sasha to remain a laker but told him, 'he's gotta do what's right for himself and his family...this is business.' sasha's passion to win is just as intense as kobe's, so i know he'll either remain a laker or go on to a playoff caliber team...please don't leave sasha !

awh, I heard about that, Number1. 'Whatever happens, happens.' That's what AI always says. AI, Kobe and Sasha should all be on a team. They all have PURE heart!

Awe, I like Sasha! I hope he stays in L.A. The Blues are in a rebuilding stage, and Jamal Mayers is an older 'grinder' type of player. And that's what Toronto was looking for, and was interested in him, and the blues got a pic. They could use it in another trade, but my favorite Blue...*sniffles* is gone.

Awh. Why don't you like the leafs? Are they in the same division as the Blues'?
