I thought it would be a good idea to start a general feedback thread.
This is a great board, everyone seems to get along reasonably well and has fun, which is what it is all about.
That said, I would prefer not to have to waste time plowing through massive oversized photos to get to the point of this board: the messages and information. Just my observation, I realize I am being snarky but it is getting worse instead of better, to the point that I am loosing enjoyment and desire to participate. I realize this isn't "my" board and I am sorry if I offended anyone, nothing personal is intended.

I get what you are saying. I will resize my siggie to make it smaller, and when you have a smaller screen, it can bit a pain in the arse at times, or just an old computer. (mine is) If that is what you meant, I'm guessing that it may be. (i'm bad at resizing, but i'll give it a go, and i'm not upset about it...just being lazy in the past.)
Everyone has been getting along great. And it' good to see.

Yes, tabatha... that's what kirkland meant... that the photos with the siggies were getting to be a bit much. That was posted a few days ago. While I enjoy all the siggie photos, they show up every time a person posts... that causes a ton of repetition and a lot of scrolling down. I think everyone will be fair and understanding.   |

even though i love everyone's creative output and preferences, i do understand your point kirkland...an individual siggie is shown EVERY time a member posts...it can become 'too much' for those who do not have the same affirmation as the op.
maybe we can start a new thread in the un-apolo section, where we can post all our non-apolo favorite pics and things...
everyone should feel comfortable and happy here.
btw...my b-ball stuff is just through the finals.

Thanks! So much better, although yours wasn't one of the super large displays. As Lily said, with so many postings, it creates lots of unnecessary scrolling.

There is a way to turn off the siggies if you don't want to scroll through them all the time. Go into your Profile and where it says "Show Signatures" just change that to "No". You can do the same thing with avatars too.

You can do the same thing with avatars too. that's true... but I think that many of us enjoy looking at the avis, siggies and images. So to have these show up in the appropriate sizes as we had been doing (prior to the posting of the large photos under the siggies) is okay with me. There is room to add smaller 'avi-size' photos or images to the right side of our siggies... as 'number1fan' has an image there. That looks great to me. (Like...there is room next to my siggie to add a couple of small pics of the same height.) 'number1fan' had a good suggestion earlier... start another thread. JMHO
