TO ALL of GAThere is a TROJAN HORSE that tries to access your computer from the main page of GA from one of the videos. If that is how you normally access the forum, it probably would be wise to avoid the main page until Lindsey gets it fixed. To access the forum directly, please bookmark this link: apoloohno.proboards92.com/index.cgiThat will take you directly to the forum. Please do a virus scan on your computer if you have been on the GA main page in the last week, lest you have a mess on your hands.I've e-mailed Lindsey about the problem-(mmm- need to e-mail Christy and Nerka too probably)

Mtnme thanks for posting this. I didn't realize it impacted the home page only and the alternate URL is appreciated. I started receiving this Virus about a week ago whenver I launched gotapolo.com from any computer that I use. Lucikly all of my computers are up to date with Virus protection, nevertheless I get messages that the culprit was found and quarantined. The virus is bloodhound.exploit.109 and info can be found here: www.symantec.com/business/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2007-010315-5708-99Make sure your computer anti-virus is up-to-date with the latest versions, as well as adding any Windows patches (sorry, not a Mac aficionado so don't know the impact to a Mac).

I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get to this page through the main page but no problem I remembered that Jenna had sent me the link for the forum.

Mtnme, which video is carrying the virus? i don't know. My virus alert keeps saying it's attached to a video when I log onto the home page, but it nuke's it before I can make out any more details on it.

That's probably what's wrong with my laptop. If it is, it totally crashed it. No function whatsoever. Thankfully I have my desktop (and my laptop is getting fixed right now). It's probably that virus. Thanks for telling me or my desktop probably would've been next!

There are 3 free programs that seem to catch just about everything.
AVG free edition Spybot (for those pesky cookies and data miners) Avast (Theresa told me about this one)
hey, thier free! And they work!

Yes, that happened to me too! My program got it though, thank God, because my computer it's been acting kind of weird anyway, and it's the only one I have*sight*. It let me in through the main page?! I have McAfee. There's a lot of sites that have a trojan so it's good to be protected. Thank you for all the links ladies I'll check them out anyway!

I have McAfee that nuked the problem, but would warn me about the virus. On my log, it says it's a virus that tried to run in the script of my computer, and it started on April 22, 2008. The McAfee website said that the trojan horse comes from a Google sponsored link.

I'm just wondering why my virus protection didn't catch it. I have Norton Antivirus (Symantec). I still don't know if it was the virus.
