Apolostarr, use these. Of course, it took me about 3 hours to download one episode (even with DSL) and about a week and a half to download all of them. But, it's definately worth it! If you want to save them to disk, when the download box comes up, save the files, then transfer them to disk. You can even watch them on DVD player. idolforums.com/index.php?showtopic=489232(make sure you have the latest version of RealPlayer, or they might not work)

But they won't copy to disc! Do I need special software??? I'm getting a new humungous TV and would love to see Apolo fill my screen...

I'll try to explain (your have to have a cd burner or cd/DVD burner combination): When the download box comes up and you click save, you'll be able to choose where you want the files to save, for examble the "downloads" folder. Then when the download is complete, (1) you can click "open folder" and the folder will open and you will see the file; (2) go to "my computer" and find the folder where you saved them. Once you've done that, then right-click on the file and select send to or copy on the left side of the window and choose the drive of your computer. As for the DVD player, I think the downloads are also in DivX format, so you have to get a player that will play that specific format (they're not expesive, or at least mine wasn't). I don't know how much cd burners cost, if you don't have one.
I hope this helps. If you don't understand someone can post a clearer description.

Thanks! I did know most of that - the problem is coming in when I try to copy the file to the D drive folder - it gives me a message as follows:
Confirm Stream Loss (that's the box title)The file <insert name here> has extra information attached to it that might be lost if you continue copying. The contents of the file will not be affected. Do you want to copy the file anyway?
I say yes, but then it won't play... It says my avi file is broken! (Hate it when that happens...)

Um, are you playing it in RealPlayer or Windows Media Player (make sure they're up-to-date versions)? Maybe Christi or someone can help because I didn't have that problem.

It's a program I downloaded that lets me do screencaps. I think Number1fan recommended it - some helpful soul from here did in any case... I'm wondering if my problem is in the format - I still have the box from my DVD + R/RW drive and it lists DVD +R DL, DVD +RW, DVD +R, DVD-ROM, DVD Video, CD-DA, CD-ROM, CD-R/RW CD-ROM XA, CD-I, Photo CD, Video CD and CD-Extra. No DivX...

You should be able to play them in RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, and the DivX player. As for the DVD player, I think you have to have one that plays DivX format.

Thanks guys! But the problem wasn't *playing* the DVDs, it was *burning* them... Talked to someone in realtime, and the problem seems to be that I can't just copy to the D: drive - I have to go thru sonicsourse or Roxio programs... Long story short, problem resolved! I've been able to burn my for-personal-use-only DVDs !!!!! THANK YOU for helping me on my way to viewing nirvana!
