Interesting how there's hardly anyone in the bleachers in China. So it looks like it wasn't open for the public or the Chinese aren't that interested in the sport which I doubt. I know China is a communist country and there aren't that many households with computers (like Linmiste said), but still you'd think sports would be a major highlight of any country, especially China since they've got the Olympics. I swear I just don't understand. I'd like to ask the blogger about this, but *dam* I can't read Chinese.
GREAT PICTURES. Thanks for finding this blog, Susie, and thanks Doonick for posting them.
I was able to watch the video! After a long wait cuz I got a slow DSL. That last part where Apolo finishes first in the relay, and he raises his arms in victory was worth waiting for. ;D

I clicked on the image which opens it up in a seperate window and then pressed Ctrl-Alt-Print Screen together which captures an image of the whole screen. I use a freeware program called Fastone Image Viewer which is essentially a free version of Photoshop. I then paste the image and crop the file to remove everything but the actual photo. I think this method works pretty much the same way with Photoshop. Hope this makes some sort of sense!

Thanks so much, Doonick -- great job! ;D BTW, I wish you could have seen first-hand just how wonderfully your men's team performed at WC6 in Salt Lake City. I was very busy cheering them on when not rooting for my home team or the Canadians. I was impressed by their pluck. During the relay, my friends and I could not for the life of us remember the names of two of your skaters. We were madly cheering on Jon and Paul, and yelling "Go Great Britain!" for the other two. We jokingly wondered if we could dub them "George" and "Ringo", LOL! They were definitely "the fab four!"

Doonick, thanks for the photos! Yeah, we were cheering for the Brits from the 'cheap seats' LOL. One of them in full helmut and uniform looked like Prince William in a skinsuit - so we dubbed him as such!

Tom Iveson? Separated at birth, perhaps? I see what you mean, the resemblance is scary! Thanks for supporting the Brits, with their excellent performance this season and continued support things can only get better.

While we're on the subject of the "Fab Four" Brits.... I ran into their coach as I was checking out of the hotel after the WC6 in SLC. I started talking to him and remarked on how big the guys are. I told him it almost looked like a cartoon when they were lined up with the others. I asked him if the short trackers were that big, how huge were the long trackers? He then told me that GB didn't have a long track team. I hadn't known that. Hmmm.
Oh....and thanks a mil' doonick for the pics!
