I'm Ruffian!  Ruff for short, and I'm your resident Canadian supporter. I usually don't post over here anymore (messy episode a while back and I made myself persona non grata), just at OZ (a bit persona non grata there, too, while I'm at it), but this is the place to be for pictures lately so y'all are stuck with me for a while...and I apologize in advance (ask anyone, I'm a friggin pest). Buuuuut, I'm completely loving your pictures. Like, it might actually involve into a sickness, that's how in love I am. I see SusanG was there. Yippee. And God pokes fun at me, yet again. |

Ruff has been posting here too, especially on the SLC thread, what with all the Charles Hamlin pics. Ruff is ALL ABOUT those handsome Canooks. Especially those "Ham Sammiches" (Charles' brother Francois is the other half of the 'sandwich') lol, guess who the middle is?! |

Come out of the Canadian closet, GND, we'll still love you. , I'm most definitely out of the closet - as I said upthread, taking those pics wasn't entirely altruistic of me - there aren't nearly enough Canadian pics out there for my taste!  As for me going to Worlds, I think it would take winning the lottery and drugging my husband... Wow GND you did take a lot of cannadian pics, but I have to say my favorites are the ones of Apolo (of course) do you have any more of him? =) , Apolo will always be my favorite, too, but I'm afraid I quickly gave up trying to take good pics of him - we had so many other people there who I knew would get lots and lots of good ones, with far better cameras than I have. It was actually quite nice to just watch him skate without the distraction of trying to get that 'perfect shot'. I do have a few more though, and (since you asked) I'll try to upload them later today! Just don't expect the quality that Lily got...  |

I cannot tell a lie...I'm with Lori GND, those Canadians really won us over. I am finally, just now, getting my voice back. I assure you Ruff, part of the reason it left me was our vocal devotion to your lovely Canadians. (As long as an American wasn't skating against them) While Apolo is still near and dear our hearts (as is the rest of the US team), I have to say the Canadians are a close second.  Third? Those are some really handsome and talented Brits. And I distinctly remember one incredibly gorgeous blond European(German possibly) who skated in front of us before donning his helmet- I think our hearts all audibly skipped a beat with that gentleman. .....mmmm, It would appear Apolo has a little competition for our affections! (But a little competition's good for him! LOL)  |

You fix the lottery (I'll naturally be helping myself to a portion of that) and I rustle up a tranquilizer gun. I've seen this done with horses, set up a soft place for him to land because if he breaks his leg...Well, let's just say it's game over. I'm so glad to see the Canadian love. Nothing gives me greater pleasure. Actually, that's not true. Those pics are pretty tasty. As good as it gets while fully clothed, I'd wager. I trust you'll all being rooting for a Canadian world champion this year, yeah? No matter...ahem...who else goes right? I think they're gonna do it, if for no other reason than it's my b-day around that time and that has to be a good omen, right? |

Could it have been Wim De Deyne? (Whose last name I just realized I've been saying completely wrong in my head as "De Weyne"). He's a bit of alright, skinny, but alright. Lily and Lori - thank you so much for more pictures from your stash. I especially love all the "game face" photos. I always wonder where they go at that moment and what they are thinking/visualizing.
