This is one of Lily's pics (I think) from the original SLC thread, but it's been lightened so you can see it. Apolo being interviewed after the first day of skating.  I'll grant you, Apolo is not a tall guy, but the cameraman, comparatively speaking, must be an absolute gorilla! LOL |

[Is it just me ... or is he starting to look younger? Actually, when you meet him in person, after a race and not all 'spiffed up' for the hollywood photo shoot, his face is younger looking than in a lot of the magazine spreads we've seen recently. Not as young as in 2002 photos, and he is much leaner now. (well from the waist up anyway - LOL) He doesn't have the roundness of a little boys face any longer, but there is still the sense of a little boys sweetness about it, which I wasn't expecting, and which carried over into his interaction with his fans. Unbelievably patient with everyone, and he gave generously of his time after the tv interview. I'm sure he was tired after a long day of skating, but you wouldn't have known it. |
