I wonder if he has any other East Coast plans?? Where does Jimmy Kimmel tape? Was that in NY? The Soap Opera Awards or Daytime Emmys are coming up, maybe he will be a presenter for that? I think that is in NY. The Kentucky Derby is in 10 days and I know that Muhammad Ali is having a big celebrity event for that. I know that Apolo mentions thinking highy of Muhammad so maybe he will be there. I am trying to think of anything else coming up soon. I guess this could be Oprah's chance to get him to Chicago,,,hmmnn. Oprah's been trying to get him to Chicago??? You know, I'm in Chicago!!!! Anyway, yes I think this is great that he is doing this. It shows that he has been busy, it's funny how we are trying to find out what is Apolo doing right this second, or we hadn't seen him, and it's just that he has been getting his things together so he can make his moves. Good for you Apolo!! Good for you! Now that's the Apolo discussions I like to have

Jimmy Kimmel Live in filmed at the Kodak Theatre which I believe in in either Hollywood or West L.A., something like that. It's easy to hop on a plane and be somewhere at a moment's notice, ya know....

I think the west coast has had Apolo for a while the east should have some Apolo love, but I sure wish I could've gotten to actually see him! I have enough money to fly to D.C. (Hmmm starts developing idea in her mind). No I could do something stupid, I usually do. That's great what he's doing and the other athletes trying to get kids to like math. I was never a big math fan, but I eventually learned it! Apolo would defeneatly catch my attention

Im pretty good at math, its my best subject, but i lurve that hes doing this, i just wish it was in Sf or Oakland or something ya noe the kids here need so much help, cali has some of the worst schools, cause give likiek 14% of our revenoue to the gov't or something and we only get like 8% back so we're like getting screwed over

I must say I am devistated that he is no longer in LA! It was good while it lasted, but with a whole country of Apolo lovers out there, it was bound to be short lived. I suppose I'll recover... Good for Apolo for getting involved in such a great program. I love to see famous folks usin' their fame for the greater good, givin' back to the community and makin' a difference. The Kodak Theatre is in the heart of Hollywood, but there is no ice rink there (refering to Jimmy Kimmel) I have no idea where they shot that scene. Hmmmmm.

They were wearing Landrollers. It was a promotional thing.
But yes, it would be interesting to see Apolo here in Chicago. I don't know how he would fair. But when Shani came home, the city rolled out the red carpet ;D

Any friend of Shani's is bound to be a friend to Chicago. I'm sure he'd find the windy city very hospitable...
You gonna be drivin' the welcome wagon, right Crims?

Wait, wait, wait!!! Chicago is a big place, Apolo may come in and out without nobody really knowing.
Bush comes here alot and when he's here, it's like nobody knows or cares....as far as Shani is concerned, that's different, he's a native son and not all of Chicago pulled out the red wagon for him.
It was mostly African Americans, young people and people who lived in the surburb of Evanston that really welcomed Shani back. Everybody else was like whatever.
Chicago ain't as welcoming to people as you think.

Yeah, Crims, guess you gotta earn your respect wherever you go, but you guys got some good pizza there, so even if you don't roll out the welcome wagon for him, I bet Apolo will feel right at home.
haha!

No it's not the respect thig, Chicago is just very, How should I put it, "specific about people in their minds"...that was a totally bad way of putting that because it does not get my point across. Yeah Chicago has good pizza, and I don't know how Chicago or the surburbs would react to Apolo coming here. I don't know, I can't speak for all of Chicago. But it ain't easy getting tickets to Oprah so I wouldn't be there.
