Lindsey is going to make a rules thread but she has a lot going on in her life right now and has not had time. Until she does, I just wanted to say a couple of things that would make my life easier as a mod. Once Lindsey posts the rules, I will remove this announcement.
First let me say that the members here are great. I have grown so fond of all of you. I know I have said this a million times but Apolo attracts very nice people for fans. You make my life as a Mod quite easy. There are just a couple of things I need to mention.
1) Keep the site "clean." There are many young members here. Keep it "rated" PG 13. (This includes not only being sexually graphic but language as well. No swearing, please.)
2) Be respectful. Be respectful to Apolo, anyone in his life, and each other. No mean spirited posts. Actually, you are all great about this. I have only had to delete four or five mean spirited posts. But I wanted to mention this for those rare times someone does get mean.
3) Keep the silliness under control. We want this to be a fun board but the main theme of this board is Apolo. Yes, it is fine to have fun and be a bit silly but it is not okay to have post after post of it. Post after post of "LOL" and "hehehe" should be avoided. An occasional post or two like this is fine but I have just spent an hour deleting pages of posts of these. When new members join or when someone wants to post on the actual topic of the thread, it is hard to find the last serious post.
4) This one is kind of related to #3. Stay on topic as much as possible. I know it is fun and easy to veer off a bit, and that is fine for a few posts, but always try to bring it back to the subject of that particular thread. I know I am very guilty of getting off topic so I am "preaching" to myself here, too.
Lindsey is the "boss" here. When she does post the list of rules, if anything is different than what I say here, go with what SHE says. She and I have talked about most (if not all) of these things but she may vary the rules a bit or change what I have written in her rules. So, once she posts the rules, disregard this thread and go by what she says.
If you have any questions or need some clarification, please feel free to ask.
