I once saw a picture of Apolo shirtless, lying down on a table, with a blue bandana, I think. There was a machine next to him and a nurse. Now I can't find the pic anywhere! Does anyone have it? Thanks.

I wish I knew what they found out about Apolo's heart. I bet he's got like the lowest heart-rate ever with all those hours and hours of brutally-hard exercise. And I've been worrying about him losing weight (sheesh, I need to get a life)... Anyway, then I remembered this research done on rats and the MAIN thing you can do to make them live longer is severely restrict their calorie intake and practically starve them to death. Then they live like 50% or more longer than otherwise. Yeah I know I'm weird -- but just in case anybody else was worried about all that self-torture, it's probably good for you in the long run, though I don't imagine many people can stand it like Apolo can.

I remember seeing this thing on him... they had a set up of medical equipment in the rink, Apolo got tested and then went as hard as he could around the rink for quite a few laps, came back and they redid the tests and showed some diagram on the computer saying that his heart hardly had a change in beats per minute... at least not what is expected for a normal human. They concluded that he, like most top tier athletes, have to exert something like 2 1/2 times more energy to get their heart rate to start to compare to a normal person's heartrate if they were to do laps as he did. Overall, he was extremely fit and his heart is in perfect form! Anyone else see this clip anywhere? I haven't seen it since before the Olympics, I think.

Thank you all for posting the picture! Much appreciated.
How can the nurse stand there with composure?

It's good to know he'll get something besides medals, not that they're anything to sneeze at -- but like, perfect health!
