I agree with you both. I can honestly understand why he keeps his mouth shut when it comes to his relationships. It’s just not worth putting any girl through the torture of being dissected from head to toe. I look at Allison and see someone who is very special to Apolo and I trust his judgement enough that that’s good enough a testimonial of her character for me!
I see Allison as one of his closest confidantes and a person who sees Apolo at his best and worst.

ITA, apoloslove... it was just a second. To overanalyze this one frame is too much...lol. I haven't read the others, but just to add my two cents, I think she's dressed appropriately--there's another girl in the back with hoop earrings--and so what if she likes to wear heels?  I think they're adorable. I love wearing heels with everything...it could just be her style, ya know? I feel bad for her that she's gotten the brunt of criticism when she was with Apolo (just b/c people didn't really want Apolo to have a girlfriend) and now when she's not (just b/c people want Apolo to be with Julianne). Not fair for her, IMHO. |

I have to say I am a bit jealous of her that she gets to say she was once Apolo Ohno's girlfriend, but I'm sure I'm not alone in that.  I wear heels and large earrings too, it doesn't mean I'm trying to impress someone, just what I decide makes me look and feel good that day. Maybe I'm just missing something, perhaps the photo is not speaking to me correctly.  |

They've completely ripped Zach to shreds on the other site, so I guess their focus is now back on Allison. It's a battle she will never win and she's probably resigned herself to that fact! I wish her luck. She's going to need it!

I feel bad for him and Allison both, I'm sure they are both quite strong individuals that will be able to withstand this behavior. Sooner or later it has to fizzle, right? |

If I were closely involved (relative, couple, friend, whatever) with someone who had achieved "celebrity status" my feelings about what their fan following had to say would probably range from mild to moderately eyerolling bemusement. I doubt it if I would let people I've never even seen before bug me much more than that. The only way it would bother me is if it were bothering them. Then, in defense of the person I care about, I would probably be genuinely upset. Of course I don't know for sure, but I just have a feeling that neither Zach nor Allison are losing much sleep over the rantings of people who play no significant role in their lives. I sure wouldn't.

On another board they're speculating as to why Allison is beside Apolo and they're dissecting their body language. I guess I don't understand why anyone would be surprised they've remained close or why they feel that Allison's appearance with him is cause for concern.  Even though they've broken up, they'd still maintain a strong friendship because of what they mean to each other and because they see each other just about everyday. Am I missing something obvious? I guess I just don't tend to over analyze. The fact that they are standing together speaks volumes to me in itself so it doesn't really matter to me that he has his hands in his pocket and he's not focused on her. It's apparent there's still something between them, even if its only a deep friendship. I like Allison. I don't know a lot about her, but she seems his type. I'd hate to be her right now and on the receiving end of a lot of criticism and presumptions. I mean - some have even gone so far as to question why she's more dressed up than the others in the picture - like she's trying too hard to impress him. Here's a thought - perhaps she just likes to dress nicely away from the ice since she practically lives in a skinsuit! I don;t think it takes a lot to understand body language in a picture. It's easy. i get the vibe from the picture that Apolo is not into it. Im not saying that his not into practice or that his not interested in those people's company but, he looks detached from the place. He's not looking into the camera. instead, Apolo is lookind to his left. When a person has their hands inside the pockets is because they are hiding something. Im not saying he's lieing or anything. it might mean that he does not want to be typed cast as being with Allison again or because he's thinking about something else or maybe because he wants to be somewhere else or because he wants have someone else in that group. There's a lot of things that he might not want for other people to know. It is obvious that he's not interested in Allison romantically from what i can see in the picture. otherwise, Apolo would be more intot he picture. But, he might also want to through that vibe tot he person whose taking the picture that way people like us think the way we do. I think Allison is very pretty. She looks really good in this picture. I think people are going to have differing opinions when looking at the picture. For me, it doesn't tell me he's not into Allison. If he didn't want to be near her, he wouldn't be. I've stood many a times for pictures with my husband and have been distracted or non touchy feely and it certainly didn't mean I didn't care for him. Like I said earlier, the fact that they're standing together (and are often together period) says more to me. That's not to say they're together romantically, but obviously a close friendship exists. I just don't think Allison's the poor victim some are making her out to be. She doesn't need a pitty party from Apolianners. I don't think she's exactly pining for Apolo. She's attractive and successful in her own right so I'm sure she has her own offers. Relationships end and people move on. They're probably more over it than some others are! |

Thanks for your insight, lol... Body language is a cool thing to study. However, I don't think we can accurate decipher body language from just one still picture. If we had a series of photos, like some of the DWTS promotional stuff with Julianne, I could see how you could watch body language and interpret how they were interacting with each other, etc. But this is just one shot. A brief moment, as someone else said, who knows what they were doing before or after this shot. I'm not advocating for one side or the other. I'm just saying we need more in order to properly *analyze* this, if you're going to do it. My boyfriend and I frequently have shots taken of us (his dad is a camera nazi) where we don't look *that* into each other. And then the next shot he's close to me and we look coupley. We need more pics. But we probably won't get them. Just my humble opinion. |

I have read tje other board and have posted there ,using another name, but I got so tired of the endless speculating and disecting of every little nuance. What I really dislike is the "trashing" of Allison. No one even knows the girl or has any real idea of what her relationship with Apolo is or isn't or what it was or wasn't, yet on and on the trash talk goes.. They have spent a lot of years together and have the same interests. They probably are good friends, and I'm sure he can't be please with all the talk about an innocent person. Just because she has been close to Apolo, does that make her an evil person? Allison is a very attractive girl, and must spend a great deal of time training, because she is very sucessful in her own right. As for Zach, well he is a foolish man to me. |

ITA with everyone on this subject. I left that other site when all the bashing of Allison and Zach became too much for me handle. Trashing someone you don't know just because of who they're dating makes no sense to me at all. I also didn't like how people on that other site analyzed every picture and every single split second of every video of Apolo and Julianne...seemed kinda tacky and childish to me. I'm really glad I found this great site after I left that other one...people here seem to be more laid back and a lot friendlier. It doesn't matter to me who Apolo chooses to be with, as long as he's happy.

Why am I not surprised in the least that there is a site dissecting every section of that photo? I personally think it's a cute photo, and I don't understand what all of the fuss is about. I also think it's great that they are friends, she's a cute girl, and she's obviously a special part of his life, whether that is just as a friend or more doesn't bother me in the least. I do however find the constant bashing of Allison on other sites more than a little disturbing, and irritating to say the least. I agree, some of these poor people really need to get a life. Allison seems like a great person and she has accomplished so much herself. Can't understand why people make the choice to tear her down like they do. I would think most people, especially women, would respect what she has accomplished. People need to move on and let people live their own lives. |

I agree raingirl, if people who are fans of Apolo need to respect his friends. Otherwise they aren't real fans. I hardly know who Allison is but from what I've read or seen of her, she seems like a nice person and I don't see why people dislike her. And all this talk of if they dated is getting old. The guy said he's single, lets give it a rest. But I guess thats another topic...
