No, not from a movie. I believe it's just a photo shoot from 2002, I believe.

I was so happy to see a new Team pic at OZ, that I had to post it here. I had to go back to page 4 to find an appropriate thread for it. lol

This is the current US Short Track Team when they were in Vancouver for training camp, at the same time Apolo performed there with the DWTS tour, I believe. The pic was posted by Tina Koenig, who is in the black shirt in the front row, third person in from the left. The rest of the team is identified on Ohnozone.net. (I didn't want to 'take' their caption, too.)

Allison is between my two favorite guys (Jordan and Apolo). to her! I wonder where Hyo Jung (Halie) Kim was.

On another board they're speculating as to why Allison is beside Apolo and they're dissecting their body language. I guess I don't understand why anyone would be surprised they've remained close or why they feel that Allison's appearance with him is cause for concern. Even though they've broken up, they'd still maintain a strong friendship because of what they mean to each other and because they see each other just about everyday. Am I missing something obvious?

I guess I just don't tend to over analyze. The fact that they are standing together speaks volumes to me in itself so it doesn't really matter to me that he has his hands in his pocket and he's not focused on her. It's apparent there's still something between them, even if its only a deep friendship.

I like Allison. I don't know a lot about her, but she seems his type. I'd hate to be her right now and on the receiving end of a lot of criticism and presumptions. I mean - some have even gone so far as to question why she's more dressed up than the others in the picture - like she's trying too hard to impress him. Here's a thought - perhaps she just likes to dress nicely away from the ice since she practically lives in a skinsuit!

Interesting comments, Lexi. I haven't seen those other sites' speculations yet, but I can imagine they get pretty heatedand probably a little mean due to misunderstanding the situation.

It's so hard to read body language in a picture because it is a split second of a single moment only. If it was video and we saw the before and after, it would be more telling... but photos unless in sequence and rapid-fire wouldn't say much to me. I can see how people are curious and want to analyze it to the bone, but what is the point? He could have very well given her a passionate public kiss seconds before this pic and turned his head to catch his breath!! That's a stretch, but you never know!

I also think that what Allison is wearing is typically Allison. I have a feeling that she likes to stand out... and of course she wants to look great (maybe for Apolo... maybe in general.)

Personally, it comforts me to see him with her because with Allison, I see him more grounded and focused. It's also been a while since we've seen him in a full group shot like this... he seems happy and content to be in the company he is in. I think it would be weird if he wasn't standing next to her. She is the closest friend he has on the team... is my thought! I wish both of them happiness, together or apart, friends or more...

That's exactly what I think too. Though Apolo confides in his father most, I would suspect Shani and Allison are next on that list. There has to be a comfort level with Allison that's hard to find with someone else since they have a lot in common and can appreciate the hardships that go with the sport. I think it's nice they could date and still go back to being friends. It shows the strength of their bond.

Why am I not surprised in the least that there is a site dissecting every section of that photo? I personally think it's a cute photo, and I don't understand what all of the fuss is about. I also think it's great that they are friends, she's a cute girl, and she's obviously a special part of his life, whether that is just as a friend or more doesn't bother me in the least. I do however find the constant bashing of Allison on other sites more than a little disturbing, and irritating to say the least.

Allisson has got it going for her in the looks department. She looks sexy in this picture. I can see why Apolo would be attracted to her ... she's attractive ... and she's probably really nice on top of her looks too. What's wrong with looking good? Nothing in my book. I would hope that Apolo would want somebody sexy cute and that's what she is. Whether they're just friends or more than just friends ... whatever Apolo wants is fine with me.
