Wow, thanks Elsa and Christy. Christy, my goodness, you seem to have so many pictures and videos saved! Thank you for saving all those wonderful things from the past! ;D And Elsa, that was wonderful information to go along with the picutres. This competition was televised? That would have been great to see. Does anyone know what channel carried it? I agree--you gals are AWESOME with the pics and info. Elsa, can you believe it, I don't have Apolo's auto yet (I have another book, tho). I've asked for it for my birthday. I can't wait to read it, sounds like a goldmind. Christy, I'm glad someone has all these pics! I've been looking around for them. Looks like CBS carried it, callie, from the mark on the images. That was back in the days before DVRs and the like, so there's probably no recording of it--does anyone know? I'm pretty sure I have a few of the commercials for it, but I don't think I have the actual games itself.

I would LOOOOOOVE to see anything you have!

Wow, his legs are certainly incredible. I think I watched a video somewhere recently where he was pressing 700 pounds on his legs? Something like that. Anyway, love the pic!

" Remember when you were in your twenties?- and you had thighs so sleek & taut that you regularly wore spandex clothing that would have been a tight fit on a bic pen?!!"
- DAVE BARRY- From: Dave Barry turns 40 (There- fixed the dufus grammer....)
-which begs the question when Dave ever speed-skated? -but I digress...

You really must visit deseretnews.com/oly/view/0,3949,75000052,00.html if you want to know all about Dave Barry and short-track speedskating. He has a long history with the sport. P.S. Call me a spelling Nazi in training but I think you mean "taut" unless of course your thighs learned to be tight thru instruction. (I also have very small font on my laptop which caused me to replace your punctuation with "is" until I popped my eyes and studied your post closer.)

Thanks for catching the spelling error - and the scary thing is " I are a college graduate".
The link didn't come up, but I think I know the article you are refering to.

The commas in the URL mess it up. YOu can't just click on it or you lose everything after the commas. You have to cut and paste the whole labor. Alternatively, you can just google "Dave Barry" and "short-track speed skating." It is still one of the funniest articles I have ever read and that it is about ST - priceless.

That article was genius, "Uh-oh! Finish line coming! Time to fall down!" Excellent Korean burns to boot. I thumbloved it.
