Hey guys! Glad to finally be "official". First question: When's our next trip? Got the hubby kissed, the dogs petted and I'm ready to go again. How much could it be to fly to Korea anyway? Thanks for all the welcomes!

Welcome, wags! So nice to meet you last weekend. I actually sorta checked flights today and from Los Angeles it's about $2,000 and about a 14 hour flight. Yikes. Maybe we could have a car wash and a bake sale and raise funds for our group. But you should check out the hotel where the skaters are staying (on the US Short Track schedule page under the event) -- it's a friggin' cruise ship on dry land overlooking a bluff. I'm not kidding. It says single rooms for the skaters is about $132/night. Here's the link: www.esuncruise.com/

Yowza! Them's some flying bucks. Just as well I don't have a passport anyway. We'll all have to suffer with just a live feed on the day of the event, and then hope for really great videos in March. After that, we'll just be going through a whole lot of 'short track' withdrawal until October.

Welcome to wags, samantha, noemi--anyone else I missed! I've been out with the flu for the last two weeks... well one full week of being sick, and this week it's kind of just been hanging on, but I've been barely surviving all the projects and papers in school on top of being sick, so I haven't been online at all... Just behind on reading and welcoming and everything! But I wanted to extend my welcome to the newbies I've missed (Wags, good to see you official!)

Thanks so much for the warm welcome Lindsey. Glad to be here. Ya'll certainly have created a great place to make new friends, gather ST info and share ideas. (not to mention ogling a few well fitted skinsuits)
Mtnme - Better be getting on that passport. Vancouver will be here before you know it. And last I heard there is a 4-6 month wait period unless you pay the extra $ to expedite.

I may have to go see both World Cups on the continent next season too. I wonder where worlds will be next year - London, France, Italy, perhaps? ....I need to win the lotto.... Ciao

Hi all to all my fellow Apolo lovers! I've been lurking on this board for awhile. The way everyone has respect for everyone's opinion on this board is one of the reasons I decided to join it. It's wonderful the way everyone is respectful of anyone's opionion even if it isn't there own :-)
There are some other sites out there (which shall remain nameless) how say I say this, that get a llittle hot under the collar if you disagree. Thanks for starting this site, I love knowing what Apolo is up too.

(-and I just KNOW there are ooddles more of you in "lurkerville" out there! Come out-come-out wherever you are!) ...and we agree with you, which is why many of us call GA- 'Home" We may poke some fun, but getting hot under the collar over opinions is pointless. It's Apolo that brings us all together, for whatever the reason!

Welcome venezia! Glad you decided to join us. Start saving your pennies for ST escapades in the fall. And I agree with Mtnme - Lurkers, come on in and join the fun. We don't bite (much). And if you guys are going to stop biting, I'll have to find a new place to get bit!

Hi all, I posted a few times but didn't realize that there was a thread for introductions. I'm from Toronto and was initially a fan of the Canadian skaters, then I was told to check out this website and quickly became a fan of Apolo. I'm still a fan of the Canadians but I also now appreciate your talented American skaters and I like the fact that this website has info an several skaters and is always kept up to date.
I won't be able to post alot because I have a baby but I will check in as often as I can.
Cheers everyone!
