i don't know what the event called but what i know is that Apolo won the biking and swimming competition in this event    to the finish line!! |

Cool, I've never seen any of those pics before. How far back was that show aired? From the logo in the corner of the screen it looks like that show was on CBS. That's a pretty major network for something like that...

It reminds me of an iron man or triathelon or something. I'd love to see Apolo compete on an Olympic level in biking or win a tour de france or something like that. Those pictures of him in the pool are yummy.... **Bella wearing little pink bikini waiting for Apolo poolside with a big fluffy towel** giggle...  |

This was from 2002. The Met-Rx something something competition. I forgot what it was called. Eleven athletes from all different sports competing together. Yes, Apolo came in first in the cycling, in spite of the camera man being all up in his way. Apolo: "Get out of the way man!". I love it when the sound crew catches cute stuff like that. The pic with the dark glasses was him jogging in place in preparation for one of the foot races where he came in third behind Bode Miller and Jonny Mosely. The guy behind Apolo in the water is Ty... hmmm, last name escapes me, but Apolo had just dunked him in the water out of frustration from losing the Sea-Do competition to him. The winner got to keep the Sea-Do and Apolo had really wanted it. Apolo came in 4th overall which is pretty good I think next to burly football players and such. And I think you can tell I watched it a few too many times!

Bella, online I'm convinced anything can be found. ESPN played and played and PLAYED it that year. Jay might provide the first clue if she'll tell us where the screen caps came from. Then there's always Ohnozone. I'd bet anything they've got it, or at least excerpts.
