Elle, the (RED) campaign is why Apolo is in the GAP ads.
The (RED) campaign is Bono's idea, and many products are produced for this campaign.
This cause is for getting aids medication to those that live in Africa, and can't afford the medication.
For GAP, the portion of what goes to this cause is 50% of each item sold. If a shirt is sold for $30.00, the cause gets $15.00.
The companies that are involved are Armani, GAP, Apple with a red colored ipod, Motorola with a red colored razr phone.

:-*If u go to the Converse website, & get into their program called "Make Mine Red", u can build u'r own pair of Converse tennies, & a portion of the purchase price goes to RED. OOOO!!! I can't wait for mine to get here. I made them w/red bandana print(for Apolo of course), & white, & black racing stripe...u can personalize them, too  I'd really luv one of Apolo's red silk bandanas, but I can't find them available for purchase yet. The Gap website has all kinds of farout stuff for RED, their just not releasing it all for purchase at once. So u have to keep checking back for what u want to become available. Pretty smart marketing technique, keep em coming back ;D |

Tina, if you talking about the bandana that Apolo has in the ad, it's really just a t-shirt that is tied around his head. I want the t-shirt that says inspi(red), but I have yet to get one.

OK - the third one above with him in the navy shorts in his skater's stance makes my toes curl.
And what I can't get over is how different he looks from photo to photo - from little boy adorable to man-boy hot to man-sizzling explosive. How does he do that?

OK - the third one above with him in the navy shorts in his skater's stance makes my toes curl. Isn't that a beauty? Did you notice how people are standing back and admiring his form discipline?  Great choices, Fan. I see we have one in common! It's interesting to note the change in hair color from pic to pic. Dark to light to almost reddish. I had your last pic on my list too, but had to give it up as my Top 10 list was very quickly becoming my Top 20! |
