I've never been really into any sports growing up, it might be because I'm a little uncordiated. I do like to watch some sports like...the Winter Olympics. Such as...speedskating. lol I also really love to watch the figure skating. Once in a while I can watch golf, baseball and basketball, so I guess I'd say I'm more of a watcher than a player.

Soccer is a good sport...but i suck at runnin'. LOL I like Tennis, but my fave is Frisbee Football...I don't think it's an actual sport. It's basically like football (american) with less rules and lotsa fun. All my GirLfriends play...'cuz we can't play football! LOL

My favorite sport is swimming. I love to swim. I was going to sign up for my school's swim team but they started practice already and I forgot to go. I played soccer for a while, than I quit cause I rather watch soccer than play it. Also ping pong is really fun! I suck at it, but it's loads of fun!

I don't play any sports...but I LOVE to watch football! I love watching football, too, Jacy! I was homeschooled in grade school so I never really played team sports. I love swimming, bike riding, ice skating, badminton, etc.--a lot of things you can do with one or two people. I guess I didn't develop my coordination skills early on enough, and I feel stupid trying now. lol.

I LOVE football sooooo much! I love to play it with my little brothers, I love watching it, especially high school football! We have a new coach this year...he is AMAZING!!! He coached at 2 different colleges and started a youth football club in my town. There is just something so exciting about high school football, You know, you get there for the JV game and it's awesome to watch, but there is a kind of buzz, electricty almost for the varsity games. I love the cold air, when you have to have a blanket, and you are sooo cold you think your nose is going to fall off into your hot chocolate, but you don't care. I just wish we had gotten our new coach a year earlier so that I could be there when we get to state. Oh well, we will be amazing! Watch out for the Union Knights! This years motto is Break the Mold. First football game is in 64 days! WOOTY WOOT WOOT! I REALLY can't wait!

I like to watch baseball and football (but only the Red Sox and Patriots!), and I also like to watch figure skating and of course speedskating. My son plays basketball, so I have to watch his games and practices too.

Sorry in advance; this post will bore most of you, but I just had to take this opportunity to gush ... Hawaii is over the moon about our University of Hawaii Warriors!!! This season we won our first outright WAC championship and will play in our first BCS bowl, the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1 against powerhouse Georgia. We overcame a 21-0 deficit in the first quarter against the UW Huskies to win 35-28, resulting in a 12-0 season - the only undefeated team in the nation. I'm so proud of what our team, and especially QB Colt Brennan, has accomplished. Our share of Sugar Bowl tickets sold out lightning-fast (UH officials underestimated the demand). Hard-core fans are determined to make it to New Orleans to support our team, even with travel packages at $3,000 and up. And Colt is in New York right now as one of the final 4 Heisman candidates (awards to be presented Saturday). My fingers are crossed for him, even though I know he's a long shot. I love this article about Colt: www.nytimes.com/2007/08/26/sports/ncaafootball/24colt.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1... especially these parts: Brennan learned that in Hawaii, the best way to stand out is to try to blend in. He has gone so far as to braid his hair as a nod to his four starting receivers, who are known as The Dreadheads. And after nailing down the starting job after two games in 2005 and leading the nation in touchdown passes , Brennan was effusive in his praise for his teammates. He made sure to buy each of his linemen a large pizza every week during film sessions. He played with such flair and carried him himself with such humility that Hawaiians seemed to adopt him as one of their own.
“He’s fallen in love with this place and this place has fallen in love with him,” Morrison said. “That’s not by accident. Its how he presented himself, how he’s led, how he produced.”
Miano said: “I don’t think there’s been anyone in the state’s history who has had a larger platform than him. Whether it’s been an intermediate school, an elementary school or a high school to talk to the kids, he never says no. He’ll sign more autographs and talk to more young people. He’s been the best spokesperson that we can have.”
The coaches smiled at a quote from Brennan’s news conference when he decided to stay — “I like the person I’m becoming at Hawaii” — calling his words mature and introspective.
“I really hope that my actions, over time, will display not only the person I was, but help me clear up everything that happened out there in Colorado,” Brennan said. “I’m not perfect, and I know I’m going to make plenty of mistakes. But it’s all about the journey and what you are and what you do.”(sound familiar?)

I enjoyed your post, Angelina, and I don't even know a darn thing about football. This Colt Brennan sounds like a really likeable guy. Obviously very down to earth and adored by his teammates. I'm going to Google him to learn more. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that he takes home the trophy. We need more like him - people who are not only tremendous athletes but also good solid human beings.
I tend to live and breathe hockey. Like football to the US and Soccer to the UK, you can't live in Canada and not be absorbed by it. We’re fortunate to have two home grown "Colt Brennan types' that stand out in my mind - Waynne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby. Growing up, Waynne Gretzky was my hero; not just because of his amazing feats and sportsmanship on the ice, but his humility and generosity off the ice. People loved his ‘aww shucks’ attitude and the fact that he was always the first to recognize and thank his team whenever he achieved a goal. He encompasses everything that is vital in being a leader, a team player and a superstar. That era is sadly history and now we have ”Sid the Kid”.….Gretzky’s “mini me’ and a 20 year old phenomenon with more money than he’d know how to spend. This is ‘the Kid’ that many years ago, Gretzky predicted would one day rule the NHL and break all of his records. Sidney’s from my city and I’ve watched him play in local rinks growing up. His name’s been synonymous with hockey long before his reign with the Penguins. This guy still makes a point of coming home unexpectedly just to keep grounded and in touch; he'll stop by the local rink to ‘hang out’ or pick up a stick and find some kids playing road hockey. He’ll drop by the ball field and cheer from the stands, all the while trying to remain anonymously in the background. For 20 years of age, he shows a remarkable maturity and for all of his talent, he still feels a need to prove himself in light of all the hype. He’s just built his parents a home (though they insisted on staying in the bungalow they’ve always had)…This, of course, after buying each of them a Jaguar that they woke up to in their driveway one morning.
We read so much today about these athletes who are egotistical, violent, cheaters, steroid users….etc. It’s so refreshing when someone like a Colt Brennan or a Sidney Crosby or an Apolo Ohno come on scene and kids have someone positive to look up to….a hero for their times.
