I've downloaded music from Bollywood movies (so laugh at me). It's apparently free. They're all over the internet, posted on respectable sites, along with downloadable music videos. I have never seen any copyright information! What is up with that? Does anyone know how foreign music is regulated?

bollywood movies freak me out. they're like those japanese movies that are all funky. like that flying ninja movie, you know? are these, like, serious or are they supposed to be tongue in cheek?
it leaves me mucho confused.

The bollywood movies i've seen haven't freaked me out. haven't seen many flying ninjas lately, lol. they're pretty much like american movies except for the music scenes. if you can get over that, they're pretty much the same. i love to see the ethnic clothing, but it's getting rare to see that; everyone is dressed in modern clothes.
I'm not sure which bollywood movies you've seen, bbp, so i couldn't tell ya. i love the romantic comedies, myself (the plotline is far better than the same old, same old chick flicks you see here in the states). but the action and drama movies have been great, too.
Watch Lagaan (translation Tax): During a famine, a small village (during British rule), are challenged to a game of cricket by a British officer who is certain they will lose because they obviously don't know how to play. If they do, they must pay 3 times the tax; if they win, they don't have to pay tax for three years. Talk about exciting. Not cheesy, beautiful cinematography, and with Bollywood movies, you never know the ending. (believe me, I've seen my fair share of endings that surprised me).
Ashoka is about an ancient warrior who has to discover himself and reclaim his kingdom. Again, the cinematography is better than most American movies. It's breathtaking.
Or... Dil Se, a movie about a man who falls in love with a suicide bomber!!
But the romantic comedies are fabulous, too.
Wow, way off topic. Don't get me started on Bollywood movies, lol!!! Jay knows how much I love 'em!

I love Mohabbatein! Of course, it is a Shah Rukh Khan movie and those are rarely bad! But yes, I did enjoy it (not a huge Uday Chopra fan, though)... and Aishwarya Rai's performance was fantastic! LOL you like Bollywood movies? my parents like too but not their kids....but i do like one movie which is very touching, Mohabbatein....have you seen that movie? i love all the songs in da movie ;D |

Well, if you lie Bollywood movies, a musical you need to go see if it ever tours through where you live is "Bombay Dreams." It is about the making of a Bollywood movie. You would love it. |
