I didn't send a message, but at the place where I work, I helped organized a gift basket program where people brought in magazines, books, granola bars, little sample size toiletries and stuff like that and we sent it out to the troops overseas.

my friend did that, she sent over a care package. we have no idea if it got to anyone, though.
