Oh he JOKES like that but he KNOWS that is so UNREALISTIC....he has this joke that he's going to have a rocking chair on the porch and be holding a shotgun when the guy comes to the door....and as I've told you, he's a HUGE guy anyhow! LOL! ;D It's funny to listen to men talk about their little girls dating. It's not just my hubby but ANY of my friends who have daughters. When the men get together to talk about it, us women just sit together and LOAO to NO end, let me tell ya!

And by the way, there are some definite previleges that come with age, let's not forget. Here's my list of top 10 cool things you get to do as a grown-up: 1) drive your own car 2) live in your own place 3) eat what you want, however much you want, whenever you want 4) wear the clothes you want 5) stay out as late as you want 6) Vote 7) Order a glass of merlot with dinner 8) persue your life's work and be taken seriously by collegues 9) get married to and sleep with the man of your dreams (every night!) 10) bring a new life into the world Not so bad, eh? Yeah, there's responsibility that goes along with all of that, but it's worth it. Yes, enjoy your teens, but there's a lot in life to look forward to at every stage of life.

With #'s 9 & 10, you really can't and don't do #5 much at all, trust a person who is married and has a child, you really don't!
And for that matter, depending on life situations, you don't get to do #8 with 9& 10, either.
Life has it's ups and downs no matter WHAT stage you are in. What matters is how you handle the "setbacks" in life, that is what I've found. I, myself, have always bounced back like the proverbial cat....on all 4 feet.
May you all at least do the same, if not MUCH more than that in your life's journey's! ;D

Haha! You're funny Amy, and thanks for your kind words and good advice, but don't rain on my parade, girl!
If you plan in advance, you can do #5 and when you get home, you appreciate #9 and #10 a lot more!
And, #8 doesn't necessarily have to clash with #9 and #10... It's all about strategic planning. That's right, girl, I am livin' proof that you can bring home the bacon, fry it up in the pan and serve it to your family as well! ;D

Not trying to rain on ANYONE'S parade, Bella. It's just that one person's reality is NOT always someone else's. And just because it's not the same as someone else's reality, it does NOT constitute that one is a failure in life.
If you've got it all the way you want it, that's cool, I am happy for you. But remember, not all people do.

I th all varies from person to person, according to one's situation and life experiences. For me, personally, I found high school and especially college far more stressful than I do now as a full time Mom of five. I am not saying there are not stressful moments but all those deadlines and keeping track of details and tough courses in college were very stressful for me. I was one of those students who had to work very hard to do well. It did not come naturally for me. Even though I graduated from college many years ago, I still have a reoccurring nightmare that I have tests and papers due and I am not ready. ;D

Whoa... Amy, I never implied or said anything about anyone bein' a failure! I'm so sorry if you got that impression. No one is a failure as long as they're still in the game, right!?! The only way to really fail is to check out of the game. I'm not about belittling anyone. Mostly, I'm just an optimistic type providin' another point of view, that's all. Different strokes for different folks, right? It's so hard to convey emotion in this type of format... I hope you are not personally offended by my comments.

It's so hard to convey emotion in this type of format... I hope you are not personally offended by my comments. I agree...it is hard to convey emotion and to be understood on the Internet. The other person can't see our facial expression or tone of voice. I have been misunderstood and I have misunderstood others for this vary reason.
