Right, exactly!!! I mean they show Extreme Sports on NBC, I mean they showed the X Games a couple of times, and then it moved to ESPN.
Lindsey, do you think corporate sponors have something to do with this??? And advertisers? I mean we all know that Mountain Dew is a hugh advertisers and supporter of Extreme sports and the X Games, it's like the unofficial mascot to most of the fans and bikers.

I do think that advertisers have a lot to do with it. As we all know, media are generally about the profits they can make. If they don't think a particular show/venue will bring them enough viewers, they won't run it -- they have nothing to bring to their advertisers to show them that their viewing audience is worth it... Sorry for going on a tangent, Rose... I'll start a new thread when I learn more about petitions, etc.  Now, back to the obsession ratings! |

I don't know, I guess a 3  Maybe 4  I really, really like to see Apolo race, I like his interviews and he's exciting to me, but I don't follow his every move, or go on a dream date with him But I bet some of you all would |

I would say a healthy 7. Simply because I do daydream about him in Math class(*cough*embarassing!), but I can function without thinking about him..but not for long.

Lindsey, I am a big fan of Apolo on the ice, too! I would say my fandom goes up from a 5 to a 9 or 10 those seconds I see him on the ice.
Please don't worry about the "tangent"...I love tangents because they make for fun, lively discussion. I think the petition idea is a great one.
