Well, it's that time again to nominate a new Apolo GOTW. Ohnoagain has him this week, so he should be a limp dishrag by the end of it!  I nominate Kirkland, for not only being our Northwest Connection, (gotta represent, girlfriend) but as was pointed out on a previous GOTW nomination, she is never afraid to 'step up' and say her piece on the more volitile subject matter here when it arises, but still does so with GREAT diplomacy and grace. You go girl. |

*Bouncing and waving hand*  I want to second that nomination! As I said in a previous post, Kirkland is my board buddy and a great asset to GA and I'd love to see her get Apolo's Girl of the Week 23. She always brings a different perspective to her posts and she really gets me thinking. Good luck Kirkland! |

I also vote for Kirkland as my good friend and buddy also. She is always here for support and information. And she's been here for me, whenever I've needed her. Go Kirkland. But, if you win, I'm afraid, all you can do is just give him soup and cuddle him, cuz he'll have been with ME this week..................lol.......Ok.ok, in honor of our friendship, I'll keep him refreshed just half of the last night...............

.........next week i'm considering, mellie, rach and lisam. Great nominees for upcoming weeks. I'd love to add Sk8on. She's a great sleuth and always gives us the goods. I'll have to re-direct Kirkland to this thread. She's so darned modest, she probably never checks it out expecting we're all talking about her.  |

Lexi...thank you for directing me to this thread! You are right, I wouldn't have realized and I am thrilled and flattered:). Only problem, if I win this week, I won't want to give him back! I just watched his interview for Northwest Afternoon and fell in love all over again. I hope he comes back to Seattle, but if he ends up with a Hollywood type career after 2010, he might have to split his time. What a great representative for Bank of America....he is the epitomy of a great athlete without scandal. His dad's influence is so predominent in him. I can tell by the thoughtful way he answers questions. He is not a flip or sarcastic guy (KC??), this guy is THE REAL DEAL and I am proud to be his fan.

Lexi...thank you for directing me to this thread! You are right, I wouldn't have realized and I am thrilled and flattered:). Well I couldn't have you miss your whole week with Apolo, could I? That would mean that I'd have to put myself out and keep him company for another long week. Love how you summed up Apolo so perfectly. Classy guy all the way around! |

I just KNEW Ohnoagain couldn't wait to get a hold of Apolo...can you really blame her?  Kirkland was nominated a few weeks ago, and I just wanted to make sure she didn't get lost in the shuffle. Yup, I'm a little late to the party, but I'm gonna add my vote for Kirkland - it's a rare person who can be both candid and tactful at the same time. Kirkland, you're a 'gem' and a wonderful addition to GA!
