Geez, I wish he would appear somewhere! Such slow news these days.... So let's start something new....
How about the 2002 Olympic haircut vs. the 2006 Olympic haircut. And just to qualify 2006, let's extend it to today's cut, since it seems pretty similar to the 2006 Olympics.
Someone with more technical aptitude might choose to submit some pics for 2002 vs. 2006.
The 2002 haircut is much fuller, perhaps more blunt?...with his added weight and fuller face, it really makes his face more round. While, with today's cut and leaner face, he has a much more chiseled appearance.
So for anyone who has haircutting experience, can you describe these two cuts? how they're done (scissors, razor, texturizing, etc). What are the different techniques used in the two styles?
ALso interesting is that in the 2002 haircut, it doesn't seem that he uses much product, while, in today's Apolo, they guy is wearing all kinds of product.
Discussion?

THanks, numberonefan! I was gathering some last night and had some ready to go. I was following the instructions listed elsewhere in the forum about how to insert photos, but it wasn't working for me.
Looking forward!

aaosmts19 & number1fan, these are all great pics! Oh my, Apolo looks fabulous with any haircut doesn't he? I always kinda liked his hair longer, but he looks so good in those pics with short hair too. I'm so confused, and I'm always changing my mind ... I'll just compromise and say I like the in between length the best. Wouldn't you just love to run your fingers through his hair??

I've finally made my peace with the passing of the fluffy hair of 2002. I admit it was difficult to see it go but change is part of life. I believe we've also seen the last of the long locks of 2004. Perhaps he feels it's a dated look or maybe he thinks he's outgrown the "rebel, hair all down your back" look. **sigh** Well, at least we have pictures. I was never crazy about the KCA look of early spring 2006. I agree 100% with Yuki. That looked weird. Of Apolo's grown-up hair looks, I most love the style and length of the Got Milk ad with Julianne. Perfect frame for his face. Mature, but still youthful. Just enough length to peek out from under his helmet so I can easily spot him on the ice.

I'm not so sure it has anything to do with the length or fullness of his hair that does it for me, but more the fact that the cute kid has grown into a very handsome man. He has lost most of his "baby face"- with just enough left over to make him charming and endearing. If I were 16, I would probably PREFER, the older pics- but I'm not- so I appreciate the man. Short or long- it's all good (...but I WILL cop to not being wild about the braids...)

aaosmts19, thanks for making this thread! And thanks to Number1 for all the delicious pixs of his beautiful hair. I perfer his short hair cause it makes him look more mature. And shows his handsome face. I agree with Michelle, I've never been crazy about the braids..sorry Apolo..

I like the shorter hair as well. It does make him look more mature. I would also have to agree with mtnme and jennaceeta that Apolo should stay away from the braids.

Wow, I thought I'd be in a very small minority, but I really like his short hair the best, too. The pics from the second rumba are to die for.

I love his hair in this picture. In fact, I love everything about this photo. Suit, sunglasses, and a computer AND that gorgeous profile. But my favorite hair is in the 2nd rumba photo.
