Good ones, daisymomma! Eugene, Oregon was where Apolo was in his first short-track race. Also the first time he had been on speed skates or ice.

Apolo said that if he shaves his "soul patch" he may, like Samson, lose all his strength. Next: Steven Bradbury. Note: There are two good connections here. Either will suffice, but try for both!

Steven Bradbury...the "last man standing" who won Gold in the 1000M race in the 2002 Olympics...he was in last place when all the skaters including Apolo went down and there he was, crossing the finish line in 1st place. Steven Bradbury was quoted one time and said Apolo was a "fussy little bugger" when it comes to his skates lol.
Next..."diffusion"

The choir Apolo was in before his voice changed. Next: "Everything is done behind closed doors and no athletes have actually been consulted on this conflict."

Aw, I'm sorry Daisy! To give the evening crowd a chance, I'll leave it unanswered. If someone gets it, just throw it in with another answer. Meanwhile, so as not to hold up the game, here's a new one: Passage to Paradise

"Everything is done behind closed doors and no athletes have actually been consulted on this conflict." Google is my friend. This was in the letter Apolo sent to United States Olympic Committee about US Speedskating forcing coach Stephen Gough to resign. US Speedskating was not listening to the athletes concerns and Apolo wanted to see if the Olympic Committee could help. The letter is on ohnozone at the link below. It is well-written and very interesting. If you haven't read it, you should! www.ohnozone.net/aaoletter01.htmlOh, and thank you, August! Okay, now we are back to Rocker and Bend

You guys rocked the research though, both of you. Big Kudos! Speaking of rocking, I believe rocker and bend have to do with the skate blade. The bend helps him around those corners. Next: Phil Collins

Phil Collins sang the song "Two Hearts" which was the song Apolo & Julianne performed their 1st quickstep to last season week 2.
