Apolo got robbed!  Sorry - but I think the judges were WAY off tonight! I think a few of them got robbed tonight actually. I actually thought his Quickstep last week was a little better, but I did enjoy his overall performance tonight and I certainly don't think he did worse than Heather!!  I disagreed on alot of the judging tonight, not just Apolo's. |

I loved Apolo and Julianne's jive, and the Pulp Fiction theme was great. ;D I thought they had a better jive than Heather, but the judges are so enamored with her because she does gymnastics in her dance routines, and it's so very difficult to because she only has one leg.  It seems that Heather has found a way to wow the judges. If she is still in the competition, I hope that she stops with the gymnastics. This is a dance competition, and not a gymnastics meet.  Joey's tango was great, and I loved the Star Wars theme. ;D |

I don't understand the judging - last season, they made quite a fuss over gymnastics in routines and how it was illegal in ballroom. Only in the freestyle were they allowed to do whatever they wanted...so, it's ok for Heather to do it because she has only one leg? Did the rules change or is ok for Heather to do that? And I'm not bashing her, btw.
If it's an illegal move, then call her out on it. They called out Laila for breaking their frame...why not call out Heather for doing cartwheels?

I think that they criticize when it's a lift. Heather is not being lifted by her dance partner because she is doing the walkover on her own, and they did not criticize Vivica last year when she did a cartwheel. If her partner had lifted her of the ground, then the judges would have come down on them, but I don't want to see a flip, cartwheel, walkover in every dance that Heather does to cover up that she doesn't have the feet movement that the others do.
The break that Laila did is an illegal move in a tango. After the partners are in hold in a tango, the hold is to be maintained until the end of the routine. Just like last week, they came down on the dancers breaking their posture and hold in the quickstep.

I knew the break in the tango was illegal and I knew lifts were illegal...but I thought gymnastics were included in that too. If not, then I was mistaken...and I completely forgot about Vivica's last year until you just mentioned it.
As for Heather, I agree, I don't need to see her do backflips every week. She can't keep skating by doing the same "moves" every week to cover up her lack of footwork.

I agree with ya guys... Apolo was RoBbed!!! I can't believe he's in 5 th position. Well he got his work cut for him.
Hopefully Heather won't be doing flips for the rest of the dances.

i thought apolo was so cute, he did such a good job! and i loved the whole pulp fiction thing. i cant believe they were so hard on him cause hes trianing and competing while doing this show, and does anyone else think him and his dancer have a romantic relationship?

I also noticed that none of the audience mentioned Apolo. Yay!!! apolo is through to the next week. Did you all see the dance that Julianne did? It was so graceful, and it reminded me of a ballet routine.
What do you think Apolo will dance next week? The waltz or the paso doble? I don't know what I would like to see. The waltz is very graceful, and the paso doble is very sensual, so either one is okay with me.

Yeah, lol... totally hoping for the paso doble... but don't they have them switch off every other week? Do one traditional ballroom and then something modern/Latin? Maybe not... I don't know where I'm getting that from...
