If you ran into Apolo randomly, on the street or in the mall or the grocery store or someplace like that, what would you do? Would you approach him? Get an autograph? Turn the other way and run? Tackle him?
What would you do?

;D Tackle him, now that's funny. Um, I'd probably just pass him and shyly say hi, if it were a grocery store I wouldn't ask for an autograph. I'd let him do his shopping. Some where else, sure, why not? If not, I'd use my camera phone and get a quick pic of him.

I would tell him he did a great job at the Olympics 'cause I know he's proud of that.
Then I would say, "Love the GAP pictures" just to see if he'd get embarrassed.
Then I'd tackle him!

I'd pretend I didn't know who he was but flirt until he started talking to me... HAHAHAHAHA
Actually, I run into celebrities a lot in my neighborhood (that's LA for ya), and at my theatre and I have never approached any of them. I figure they deserve their privacy.

The last thing I'd want is to be lumped in the "typical fan" category which is exactly what would happen if I'm not given a chance to really talk to him and show that there's more to me than just my admiration of him. Therefore if it's not a situation where we could actually talk (say, he spies me at Starbucks sitting at a table sipping coffee and decides to join me) then I'd just as soon leave him alone.

if i met Apolo someday, i will of course approach him silently(you don't wanna have competition, right?) and say hi and tell him how he inspired me through his sports....and also take some pics....and at the same time, pass him my number and my email LOL

Meeting Apolo has never been something that I have wanted to do. Sounds weird, maybe, but never the less, the truth. Admiring how and what he had accomplished from afar was fine for me. I agree with you August about the typical fan and leaving him alone. Apolo would not like the questions that I would ask if he sat down with me to have coffee

Peggy, hehe. I can only imagine what you would ask him. Excuse my spelling, my cat is blocking my view. I'm shy, and not talkative at first. but, I would like so say just a 'hello' to him. Nothing more nothing less.

"Hello" is probably a good idea, Tabbi. He would make eye contact and then it wouldn't matter what you said 'cause you wouldn't remember anyway!
"and at the same time, pass him my number and my email" LOL, you're sneaky, Jay.

I have no idea what I would do if I ran into Apolo. What would I say? Oh, I host a fan site for you on the internet? How silly would that sound... lol!!!

I would walk up to him and yell, "DO YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND?" just because I know how much he loves that question. I want to see him get all upset and say, "I HAVE been asked this many, many times... I DO date...," like he did on his site. Hee! j/k, of course. His response to that question amuses me! I guess if we were both just walking down the street, I'd quickly tell him I was his fan and keep moving if he showed no signs of continuing the conversation. I couldn't just walk by him and say nothing, though. If I were in a situation where I was just one of hundreds of fans who'd have to clamor for his attention, I'd probably just stand back and watch.
