Nice to see Apolo's website being updated recently. This morning I see that the dates for the Feb 1-3 World Cup in Quebec; Feb 8-10 World Cup in SLC and the March 7-9 World Championships in South Korea have been posted on his home page. If you haven't been there recently you will also see that he has updated the Night With Apolo picture on the home page. Great avatar!! very sexy...I agree its nice to see his site get updated!! I wish he would be more diligent about that..or get a webmaster that was!!

It must have been updated this morning, because I was on his site last night and there was Nada. I'll get that info to the SLC thread, since many are asking. EDIT: hey evie, I just went to Apolo's website and there was none of the new info there, just the update on Shani, and no schedule. Does he have a different website than the one I know of? If so, could you post the web address. I'm not sure what is going on, but it sure is confusing.

Too bizzare Susie, It still wasn't coming up for me when I went to the link. I finally hit the refresh screen button and it suddenly popped up- too wierd. (must be time to clean out all those cookies and history...)

It comes up as a blue box on the right-hand side of the page, along with the items directly below it (including the "Night With Apolo" announcement.) They were among the last items to load on the webpage for me.
I think that his website had the entire short track schedule last season as well, so after thinking about it, I'm not sure that putting up the info about World Cups #5 and #6 is all that meaningful in terms of whether or not Apolo will compete.

So does this mean Apolo is going to appear at those next 3 short track events?

i would think so....since he's on the u.s. team. well technically since he won Nationals he gets "byes" for all the World Cups until World's in Korea, which is why fans who are attending the SLC World Cup 6 are waiting to see if Apolo will compete or not...to see if they are def. going however I think some of them are going regardless which is nice, either way you get to see some international Short-Track.

if that's the case...simon cho (6th) would take apolo's spot of the world cup team. oohhh...if i were going to slc next month, i'd sure want to see apolo competing ...i see your concern starr .

I was wondering if it is usual to have 6 competitors for World Cup.
This is an exerpt from an article from usspeedsking:
Also selected through this competition was the World Cup Team. This team includes the skaters who made the World Team, as well as additional member, the skater ranked number 6, Tina Koenig, North Ridegville, OH< for he ladies and Simon Cho, Laurel, Maryland for the men. These athletes will represent the United States in World Cup 5 in Quebec City, Canada February 1-3, and World Cup 6 in Salt Lake City, Ut, February 8-10.
I was just wondering if maybe some of you more experienced folks knew if 6 is the usual number rather than the 5 that make up the World Championship team. Does this mean that Tina is taking Allison's place and Simon is taking Apolo's....or do they just have 6 competitors rather than 5.
