I've got that issue of Men's Journal. The author of the article quotes Allison as saying, "When he wants to buy something -- right now it's a 1964 Cadillac deVille -- he will research to no end and wait for the perfect one."
For all we know he may have it by now, but I think if we come across any deVilles, we should go ahead and post the pictures, just for the fun of it.
My friends and I used to call those old, big cars "boats" (I think because of how the cars drove.) We would put four people in the front seat and four people in the back seat, and we would drive around and have the best time.

i found it....it's Lexus LX 470 SUV This eight-passenger SUV combines Lexus luxury with a rugged body-on-frame chassis and a powerful 4.7-liter, four-cam, 32-valve V-8 engine with 235 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. Shifting is via a five-speed automatic transmission; full-time four-wheel drive, with a locking center differential and standard four-wheel traction control, provides excellent grip. Plush interior amenities include golden bird's-eye maple and leather interior trim. A touch-screen-operated navigation system utilizing a GPS and electronic maps determine the location of the vehicle and plot a course to a selected destination. Ride quality is aided by an Adaptive Variable Suspension with Adjustable Height Control. Automatic load leveling and an auxiliary oil cooler help to provide a 5,000-pound tow rating. Pricing starts at $65,425.

Lexus LX 470 SUV - that's a hefty price tag it carries, not to mention a gas-guzzler too! When it comes to cars, I don't buy anything higher than a 6 cylinder and a 4.0L engine. Maybe Apolo likes to go on rugged, off-road terrain very often but with a Lexus, I doubt it. Even so, it's a nice SUV he has - thanks for pic & info.

susie..i remember boats!!! he would look so cool in that car!!! I wonder why that interests him?? Do you know where the name "boat" comes from, Laura? We used to joke about how the steering is not *super* precise in those cars...not unlike steering a boat, so that's my best guess. I think that Apolo would look cool in a really buff model, especially if it's a convertible. I could see him driving down Sunset Strip and breaking all of the girls' hearts. I'm guessing that he got the idea from the TV show "Pimp My Ride", which is about restoring old cars, but IDN. A lot of the hip hop stars drive cherry models of those old cars. About the Lexus, the "Men's Journal" says that it is "tricked out with chrome rims, Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires, and Focal Utopia speakers replete with custom "Olympic style" subwoofers." I think that the Lexus may have been given to him as part of an endorsement deal from a local Seattle dealership, but again, IDK. Even if you're not an SUV fan (...and I don't like the really *giganic* ones like that Ford model...) I think that you have to cut someone who lived in Colorado a break. Snowstorms come up freakishly fast there, and people who have an hour commute routinely carry survival gear in their car trunks. I used to often see cars stranded when my friends and I made the trek from Bouder to Vail. There have been times when I have been frightened out of my gourd driving on Colorado highways, and remember that Apolo flipped his car on some black ice there.
