His official site looks like a place to just post articles and whatever else he wants us to know. It's not like a fan site, this one for instance.
The only interaction was the "Ask Apolo" feature, and if that's been discontinued, you can bet someone else ruined it for the rest of us.

Perhaps Billiey means that people may have been asking rude or inappropriate questions. I hope that is not the case, though, for Apolo's sake and ours.

I don't think they'd discontinue it if they were getting rude or inappropriate questions - all they have to do is just throw those out and get to the good questions. Unless rude and inappropriate questions were all they were getting, but I doubt that... |

i'm sure he's busy with all kind of stuff, but it's just super irritating that his sight is RARELY updated! i mean, hello?!!! the opening image is from the 2002 olympics for crying out loud!
i really like sasha cohen's sight...she responds quite regularly, and always makes references to actual letters from her fans!
i'm not saying that apolo should blog on his site every day, but who ever handles it should realize that apolo has a fan base that is curious about his activities, and if he wants to remain in the spotlight, he should acknowledge/appreciate his fans by being more invovled with his sight...or at least have his manager post updates.
eve a quick message like, "Sorry i haven't been around, but i've been busy with (fill in the blank). More details to follow"
[sigh] guess i get a little cranky when i don't get my prescribed dose of apolo...

I would like that, too, but Apolo doesn't appear to have ever been the type to stay in touch like that. And I still say it is up to him, not April or whoever runs the site.
Most of the speed skaters' sites have closed down or are in hibernation since the Olympics are over.
The only information left to share right now would be personal and I've never seen him share that kind of information willingly.
Even the weddings of his short track buddies over the summer weren't about him so I can't see him posting pictures or talking about them.

I find it odd that Apolo, who was promoting his own web site in July while in Hawaii hasn't taken steps to improve his site. Why promote his own site, then ignore it? His own store is associated with his site. |

this is how it's always been with Apolo's site. I'm no fan of April but this is not her fault. She can't update the site if she isn't given material to update it with. Yuki calls teh shots with the site and if he loses interest, then the site languishes. doesn't matter who the webmaster is.

gooood point, margaret! it was so weird that he kept talking about his website during his visit here, yet nothing has happened to it.
and yes, billie, i realize that he's not open about his social/personal life, and i'm not asking him to be. i just thought it would be courteous to drop a small note here and there saying stuff like, "i've been busy working on things and can't wait to share with you in the future. stay tuned..." or SOMEthing to give us a hint that he acknowledges our support.
but really guys, don't get me wrong...i'm not pregnant doging or cutting anyone down. just a little confused about why his site is so....crappy.
