Hey did you guys noticed that Apolo isn't wearing his gold chain?  hmm...wonder if the cosmo people had a say in that ...'cuz it seems like he's wearing his skinsuit... i don't know i think he should've worn the necklace...LOL maybe his bling would steal the attention away from his gorgeous body...heeehee...yeah right!!! |

Yeah, I noticed that, but I think they dressed him for the shoot. You already know that Olympic speedskater Apolo Anton Ohno is incredibly accompished and has an incredible bod (no surprise that Roots signed him to an apparel contract, because he looks as fine in street clothes as he does in his skating skins). But this Japanese-American athlete is also intelligent, funny, and refreshingly down-to-earth. Cosmo got him to slow down long enough to tell as a little more about himself.
How skating affects his love life
"Training and traveling make having a girlfriend hard. In the winter especially, my social life is nonexistent."

Anyway, who knows why they put single, Cosmo might had done that, but he says that having a girlfriend, I could imagine it can be. Time will tell what kinda of relationships he can have after he doesn't skate all the time.
And you know what, when I saw the Cosmo issue, Hillary Duff was on the cover and he was the inside cover, like they had a dual cover, or a top cover. Did anybody had that issue?

That's the issue I have, crimsonangel. When I went to Eckerds to buy it, I was upset because I thought they didn't have it. But then I flipped open the cover to the *second* cover and lo and behold. Soon I was the very proud owner. |

Yeah that was kinda weird. But i think they did that 'cuz it was the March 2006 issue and the olympics were over in the end of Feb. ( most of the time the mags put the nexxt issue couple weeks ahead of the actual month), soo this could be sorta like a set up?? i don't know maybe they thought Apolo wasn't gonna win? and so they put him on the 2nd pg. and when he did then it was too late!!!LOL
did you guys get that??LOL i tend to not explain things clearly!!heeehee sorry

You're welcome, Rose. But a question: Does anyone have old magazines with Apolo featured in it? I would love to see more transcripts. I have the old Time and Sports Illustrated from the first Olympics, but it's not here with me. But has anyone else read any more articles they'd like to share? Particularly, I haven't seen Life or Men's Journal (just the covers). I'd love to read what those magazines had to say....
