;D ;D That's our boy. Too bad we will never know how J.R. would have impacted things.
OK, now I need someone who knows ST to tell me who skates what in the Olympics.
Taking the 2 weeks of Olympics off of work.....need to find out what packages our cable company offers.

Lurker...it was fun, and dramatic.
Looked up JR on the net...looks like it was his popliteal artery he cut. Hoping for the best for him.

I think that Simon Cho's third place points (1590) in the 500meter calculations take precedence over the overall point standings...check the fine print of the qualifying criteria specific to the 500m ............

I'm in the airport waiting for my plane to leave Marquette. We met some of JR's family in the airport and they report that he is doing fine and, as a matter of fact, has already gotten up and put weight on his leg. The expectation is that he can be back on the ice in 2 weeks. It was a deep, nasty cut about 6" long on his inner thigh just above the knee. No cut arteries, no bone damage, and no tendons cut.
It must have hurt like all get out and really looked horrifying as we watched him bleeding on that ice but, thank God, it looked much worse than it actually was.
